Just wondering, cuz when I'm not playing paintball, I'd like to go and tag some deer in the back yard, just to see if I could hit them, that way I'd be able to see which ones that I've shot, day to day.

Hehe....

the real question is is there a paint that doesn't.
Also DON'T BE AN ARSE! leave the deer alone. Intentionally inflicting pain on another animal for no apparent reason except your curiosity is wrong*. Not to mention the hell that could be raised for the whold paintball commuinity if some peta geek sees the splats and identifies from whence they came.
*humans are excluded from this because 99.9999999999999 % of them deserve it;)

The first paintball gun was used to tag cattle, if you want to keep up with the dear in your area go ahead and tag them, just don't intentanaly turn up your velocity and stuff just to hurt them.

Cool... brief rundown of the paintball history, I didn't know that Paintballs where used for tagging cattle, and it's not like I'd shoot a deer intentionally with the velocity up, and it's not like I'd aim for the head either, I know what that stuff does to human eyes.

acutally the first paintballs were used to tag trees for the timber industry then used to tag cattle, just to be accurate. However both of these were with a valid neccessary purpose. What our friend here is wanting to do is satisfy his curiosity as to weather or not he can tag a deer, there is no justifiable reason for doing so. my arguement standsand your "history" stands corrected.

so theres nuthing wrong with killing a deer and eating its flesh.... but theres sumthin wrong with hitting it with a tiny paint pellet that it will forget in about 10 seconds

Ya know, You could be saving a deers life by marking it... Some hunter could be hunting them, and then see one with paint all over it, then be very confused and not shoot it!:D

Oh ya, the first paintball marker was used for taging cattle, that was just not its first use, I just left out the tree stuff because it was not important to the conversation...

well you shouldn't mislead people that the first thing pball guns were used for is cattle when it is actually for marking trees and the first paintball was made by Nelson Paintball which is located in Kingsford, Michigan. They still make stuff for marking trees that they sell.

Mark them for clear cutting. Mostly yea they were lazy than they wouldn't have to take spray paint out.

Marbalizers stain :( I have a few white shirts that I wear underneath my jersey and they are stained. My desert cammy pants are stained from Marbs and they are from back in the day.

Off Topic: I dont play outdoors anymore...and won't ever go back.
