Ive been tinkering with this model 83 that came with a magizine subscription. Honestly i have to say im impressed with what ive done to it so far first off i smoothed off the rough edges (classic). then i ported an polished the barrel. I also lightened the trigger pull. I put on a rifle butt and chopped off the sight rail because it was pointlessly hi and it aims better w/o it. but now its actually rather accurate and thanks to the rifle butt the groupings tight. Actually it looks rather AK-47 esk. Im bringing it to challenge park this weekend sunday. Ill take a pic of it as soon as i can find my digital camera.
Does any one else have any mods done up on there crappy guns? (cheepo guns that you cant find after market parts for eaisly)
My friend made the "Dark Talon"!! Custom paintjob, milling, new barrel w/ porting, the works!

I think I've seen a picture of that. It has a chrome barrel, with a black silencer over it. There's a vertical adapter with macroline running from it to the CO2 chamber. A 12 ounce tank with an on/off valve is in the vertical adapter. The trigger guard has been sawed off, and it has a double trigger. There's a sight on the plastic dovetail. He has a 200 round hopper on top of it, and the whole thing is painted black. It's hilarious.
Is that the one?

Ooh, tell him to rip the screen off of an old calculator, and glue it onto the handle! Then he'll have a Dark Talon LCD!

Someone else also gave me an idea: Use a telephone cord as a remote! Sweet!
Nah, his isn't that sup'd up! That's a great idea for the LCD though! hehe! :D

What did you do to the trigger on the PZ Model 83? I have been wanting to do that ever since I got this gun. I might be inspired to do something similar to yours....

Hey Cadets5050, I can find some upgrades for the model 83. I'll list them here:
BARREL:::::Any Tippmann Prolite thread
X-CHAMBER::::Universal
BOTTOMLINE:::::Get the Durango one from xpaintball.com
I'll keep looking for some more upgrades....
I can't wait until evilcrayonusa gets his pic uploaded. I might try to do something similar to that.

Howdee Hears how to do the trigger mod you wanted
1. remove grip from gun
2. take a small allen wrench and tap out the pin holding the trigger be shure to do it slowly so as to not lose the spring pushing against the trigger
3. slide out trigger being carful not to let the spring pop out and get lost.
4. remove spring and take a triangular metal file and cut off a few coils (i recomend 2)
5. put spring back on plastic peg on the back of trigger and slip trigger back into place and tap pin back in.
i also found it useful to put in a trigger stop to shorten my pull (i used a plastic Skrew anchor cut down)
i also recomend smoothing the internals and sanding down the sear so its not so rough to prevent stryker wear.
#*#*#*#*DISCLAIMER#*#*#*#* I take no response ability for any thing that goes wrong with any thing ive said in this email. With that said have fun and always rember GOGGELS ON

Step one aquire a drill press and something to stableize the barrel while drilling
Step 2 mark where you want to put the porting and rember to leave @ least 3 or 4 inches un ported so as not to lose too much barrel pressure.
Step 3 with the barrel firmly secured drill through the marks making shure not to go to farand going clear through the other side (well unless you wanted that then by all means go for it)
Step 4take an un sharpened pencil and de bur the inside as best you can then with a wooden dowel rod and some emory clothremove the rest you should be able to look down the barrel w/o seeing any rough spots.
Step5 take some 2000 grit sand paper and sand the inside making shure it is super smooth.
Now for the poor mans polish job
Get some tooth paste a dish rag and a rod small enough to fit into a drill oh and a drill.
Wrap the dish rag around the tip of the rod enough times to make it a tight fit into the barrel.
lock the ragless end of the rod into the drill and apply some tooth paste to the rag.
put the rag end into the barrel pull the trigger and polish away making shure to move the rag back and forth to polish the entire internal of the barrel.
after polishing for a bit take the rod with the rag out run some water through it and take a clean rag and run it through a few times.
Then admire its internal shine and minty fresh scent.
Same disclamer as before And as always Goggles on
