In their day, they were respected. This is like the beginning of paintball, and there weren't so many mindless goons like you who bias against Brass Eagle because "my friend's uncle's cousin's son's sister's aunt's husband had an Avenger and it broke." That is actually the way BE gets dissed. And hey, you don't see me saying SPYDERS SUCK because my friend had a Compact, and the frame split. He just had a bad gun. Gawd.

The Golden Eagle could use some milling.

Nah. It only weighs 350 pounds...there'd be no point!
Damn I want a Barracuda or a Nightmare Long Comp...

Thats when BE made Good guns. They are sweet markers. I have played with the cobra and King cobra and they are nice markers. They are almost as good as a phantom. If you can ever find one for a good price, buy it! They are built to last too, they would last longer than any gun on the market now. Including 98s and Mags.

I like the variety of Grip frames they used to have! lol
Yep, that's how we do things in Mississauga. Too bad they started making beginner guns and moved to the USA, everybody liked the older models.
I would have switched names between the blade and nightmare.

Ahh.. talk about the memories. I owned a Nightmare Comp long barrell....
only mine had a pump that was as long as the gun (talk about heavy), had a C/A back bottle adapter, a homemade pvc ammo box that held 120+ shots (you was lucky if you had a 40 round box.
had some custom work done to it as well. had to replace the feed adapter, but its replacement worked better than the stock nipple since it let me used the top 20 round feed tube as well as a hopper. Had some milling done to the right side of the pump arm and bolt to accept screws from both sides(they had a habit of working loose since the pressure was from one side.)
That thing was the most accurate, farthest shooting, hardest hitting gun I've ever owned. 6 inch groupings at 40 yards was nothing for that gun. I wish now that I still had it.
If anyone's willing to part with one, I'd love to have it.

Yep...I've seen those....personally, I think these are higher quality than any Spyder or Tippmann. If I could buy one or afford one right now, I would.

Talk about OLD SCHOOL! I've been on the recieving end of a Nightmare 68, still have the scar:eyes: . This was back before FPS became established for safety.

lol.....those were the days when you were actually respected for owning a Brass Eagle. Even though I personally dont like most of Brass Eagles guns nowdays(namely Blade, Talon, Samurai, Stingray is the only one made from plastic that i like), the older ones were bad*****!! They were more durable than tippmanns i thought, and honestly i thought that they could match up against a phantom. If I ever use any of these again, I'll compare them with a phantom to see how much better or worse it performs.

The pump guns were just as reliable as any pgp, or sheridan gun out there back in the day.
The semi's, albeit some of the very first semi's out there, weren't the most fast shooting. they had a single action trigger pull. By the time they were out, alot of the up and coming pump guns had autotriggers. Even the ones that didn't could usually fire more. and you didn't have the "worn out trigger finger"syndrome.

Vyolent, you're right about the barracuda, mini, and jag being double action. However, the GE and Poison were both blowback semi's.
Looking at these pictures, I find it funny that they use the exact same grip frame as some of the old benjamin pellet pistols.
