Ha Ya Doin?
I know im annoying everybody about which barrel to get. I read the reviews I've done my own research but yet I still can't decide bettween the lapco bigshot or the j&j ceramic barrels.
So I wan't to know what barrel you think is best and why. But to tell ya the truth i dont like the color of the j&j ceramic but I didn't want to decide on the looks of the barrel.
Thanks for all your help

Your going to get great performance out of either.
what kind of paint will you be using? That might help you decide.

I have owned both barrels. I really liked the Bigshot, but it was alittle too loud for me. The Bigshot, like COunterfeit sed, is a med. bore barrel. It has VERY good accuracy, the best tehre is. The JJ Ceramic, is a very ugly barrel. BUT it's quiet and almost as accurate as the Bigshot, that's why i kept this barrel. ALso, the J&J has pretty good shoot-through capabilities in the case of a ball break. And as Counterfeit sed, it is a small bore barrel.

Proballs are smallbore, so the J&J will be perfect for you. i have owned two J&J 14 inch barrels, and not either one of them let me down! they are amazingly quiet over most stock barrels! they are very, very, very accurate compared to the stock barrel on the Tippman M98. If you get the J&J, you will definatly be satisfied!

buyt the ceramic, its a great barrel, and its quieter then the bigshot. Also, dont use probal paint, its crap. Ie had friends buy it and have to sit out for the day because they couldnt get ne shots off without breaks. Buy bigball, theyre great paintbals, and cheap too, about 55 doallrs a case at the local shop. Also, theyre small bore too, despite the name, and wll fit the ceramic perfect

I had to make the same decision. And i actually chose the Bigshot BECAUSE of J&Js ugly color. But im satisfied with my decision.

The j7j is an excellent shooting barrel, i would have gotten it, but i had the extra money so i got the boomstick. The j&j is a great barrel, accurate, and quiet. And u can always have it painted to match ur gun, so dont worry bout the color, itll cost like 10 bucks to have it painted at ur local pro shop. Get the j&j 43 at shop4pintball.com

Go for the jj. Yeah it looks like crap but i heard it works really good. i personally don't like the big shot b/c i tend to like small bore over any other.

I think i am gonna go for the j&j. If the performance is good then who cares about looks or color. Plus at paintball-online.com i found the barrel (or at least in that picture) in a gray color witch i think is a little nicer than the black/dark green color.
Peace out

Now im really confused. Everybody on this forum says that J&J ceramic has a small bore, but the Spyder owners group insists that it is a small/medium bore, leaning more towards the medium side.
I just purchased one of these things but havn't had much luck finding good paint. Everybody said that PMI premiums shoot well, but they are definately medium bore. My local field only sells Nel-Splat and Proball.
So I guess what im asking is, what size is the bore-REALLY? What kind of paint do you guys have better luck with?

I have a JJ Ceramic, and it is in fact Small bore. JJ's bore sizes vary a little, though because the procedures they use in makin the barrel and doing the Ceramic coating causes the barrel bores to vary a little. Some may be small bore like mine, and some may lean to the Med. bore size, like my friends. I know that my barrel shoots GREAT with Hellfire, Allstar, and Marbalizer, all small bore paint.

A J&J is a small bore. it has a great paint match with marbs, allstars, and slam balls.

The j&j comes in different colors, a piss green and then a piss gray., thats the wors t[art about the barel, the color, but it really doesnt matter, bnecause its greatne wyas, but the green looked like **** on a blue shutter. . It worked great with marbs when i played with it for the day

Theres nothing you can really do about the "piss" green and grey colors on the barrels. :( you can't anodize them, and if you did (well you can't anyways!) you would spend as much as you did on the barrel itself! get an alluminum barrel if you want it anodized!
Rocky

Yeah well I guess the "piss" gray will go better with a black gun rather than a piss green with a black gun, but I don't care after i get my barrel, a double trigger, and another 20oz. co2 tank (i like to "beat" my friends with stuff like my stero will is louder than like umm something really loud lol) I want to get my gun painted, I think, but does anyone know if most local shops paint guns or do i have to gun to sincustom's to get it painted?
