Um..scenario just kinda means you set up a storyline.
This is one you could do and that i have played at my local field, its very fun:
Game: Eliminate the Terrorists
Storyline: Some local terrorists have captured and taken over a small command center and their intentions are to blow it up. The Counter-forces need to rush into the command center and eliminate all the terrorists or diffuse the bomb, before it explodes!
Reality: You have one team (counter-forces) start on the top of a hill. have the other team (terrorists)start in a large bunker w/ plenty of sniping windows and excape exits, etc. place a box 50 yards or so behind the bunker. the counter-forces team needs to have one person touch the box for 10 seconds, so this guys temamates need to cover him from all around, since the guy touchinging the box (diffusing the bomb) CANNOT shoot! a ref watches the box and counts it off LOUDLY so everyone can hear. (this may not be realistic, but it makes it hella fun when 6 terrosit that exited the base straight off rushes in and gets pounded by the other team who is in a cover position already :D) if 5 minutes go by and the counterforces have not diffused the bomb, the terrorists win.
this makes it really cool cause the defending team tries to hold off the attacking team and they cant let them get behind enemy lines. a couple times, my team (we were defending) selected me to exit the fort immediatly and try to go BEL (behind enemy lines). there is a creek right next to the bunker, and so i layed prone in this a picked off a few guys who were trying to snipe ppl in the windows. then i saw a couple ppl from the otehr team go around the otehr side of the bunker..so i got up, ran to the bomb and took out a guy trying to diffuse it..(the ref had just started counting) there was one more alive that was covering him, but looking the otheer way, towards the fort..but i was on the side of the fort..anyway he dind't hear me so i took him out 2 seconds later.
it was so much fun, and that was probably one of my best games in all my paintballing years. i took out 3 snipers from my prone posiiton in the creek, and took out those last 2. we were playign 6 on 6..anyway it was really fun.
that is an example of a scenario game, where the refs or the players pick something like that and pretend and use their imagination a little bit. they can become quite interesting and they are hella fun.
we've also done stuff like put bomb in middle and have two teams attack it, and whoever can touch it for 10 seconds win...you get pelted so bad if you are diffusing..and alot of times little newbies wont cover you, or they wont go up and diffuse if you tell them too, which pisses me off.
half the fun of paintball is getting hit i say. the other half, is ..lighting someone up. :D

Although scenario is really fun, i voted for fox and the hounds. i have only played twice. the firsdt time was a total disaster. the 4 foxes, out of the 13 or 14 of us, all had sights and lazer sites. one had a 18in barrel LOL :) i think it was that stonecold one or whatever. anyway half of us got sniped as we were running from our base. i got hit but it bounced so i continued on. it was a fun game i guess, but it pisses me off when the refs start you at a place where you have to run 10-15 yards w/o cover, so half of you die off due to longrange shots.
the 2nd time i was a fox, and it was really fun. i just layed prone for half the match and got many ppl who didn't even see me. then someone saw me and shot at me but it bounced off my mask. I LOVE MY FLEX7 :D!!! heheh anyway i was laying prone so i rolleed bhind my bunker, snapp shot over the bunker for 1/2 seconds, then ran around a big pillar. (it was indoors, at jaegers, paintball, in a cave..cool. <thats there little motto) anyway i ended up getting pelted cause i ran right around the pillar and there was a guy that somehow got BEHIND US!! he shot me twice in the back, and i turned around and raised my gun. then some DAMM newbie came around and just lit me up w/ a hot spyder from 15 feet away. he hit me 4or 5 times in teh chest and i had bruises. not really welts, they weren't that bad, but they did make the little rings. anyway the ref and i yelled at the newbie telling him that when someone has their gun up hes out..
so anyway..sorry if both these posts belonged in the paintballstorys forums.
sorry if they were hard to udnerstand or boring.
anyway i voted for fox and the hound cause it can be fun if the field is set up right nad the refs are smart about where they position the hounds. i think it is momre fun indoors also, where its dark, and where you cant see a proned fox very well. caues I ABSOLUTLY HATE IT when fox and the hound turns into a snipe war!!! but if the hounds cant see him, they WILL move up, and so if its darker, it helps prevent a snipe war.
just my 2 cents...err....couple hundred bucks worth of stories :D

ok..sorry if i was way off of what a scenario game is.
i was reading around the forum, and im hearing 28, 48 hour scenario games..so i think that my field just calls them scenario games (what i described above.) sorry if i was way off..can someone please explain what a 48 hour scenario game is?
is it just a really big, 48 hour paintballgame, w/ many ppl and you just act like its war, and go and take over more parts of land?
awesome..but way to expensive and time consuming..

Yah. i get a lot of ideas from video games and movies.
They make it more realstic and a lot more fun.
but every once in a while, you just gotta play a simple game of hyperball or speedball or woods !! :D paintball is just fun in general :D

I like a game we play called "Assassins and Bodyguards." One guy on the team made some shields out of plywood, and they work really well. The object of the game is to get the president to a designated safe spot, without him dying. The bodyguards protect him, and the assasins try to shoot him. The bodyguards and president get shields. It's a lot of fun.

I like speedball. I think how you have to be in cover the whole time is cool. I dont like other games because they take way too long, playing 3 hours for 1 game in the woods at night while you get bite up by bugs is not fun.
