for the trigger mod , using the dental rubber bands.
has anyone *ever* had a band break in the gun while shooting it. its a great mod, but i dont want to reduce the dependability, say in the middle of a bunker run....

Well, I've had one rubber band in there for around a year and it hasn't broke yet.
How long have the rubber bands been in there? I'm thinking that they should be fine, as mine hasn't broke after a year of use.

If you are concerned about it breaking, id just smooth the part on the sear that it holds onto, you know the little lip below where the seartrip moves the sear, that is where it would break if it was going to. There are 2 90* edges that could be smoothed to reduce the pressure put on the band.

Or simply use the lighter trigger and sear springs from the Maddman spring kit. They work extremely well without having to modify anything.

i wouldnt buy the maddman springs unless u buy it for the rear bolt, cause that works for me. but anyway i use a spring from a ball point pin. works great.

it seems like you would want the band as loose as possible

if you put 2 bands on it it will be twice as hard to pull the trigger totally eliminating the point of dooing thje mod

it makes ti alittle quieter, but the real reason is to lighten your pull, you put it in place of the sear spring

Could anyone tell me where they got those small rubber bands from?
I was thinking of swiping some at my next dentist checkup while hes not looking. Any ideas?

I got mine from my sister when she had braces. But my rubber band broke. After a year or more of playing it broke..while I was cleaning the the rubber band i stretched it too much and it snapped. Not even the oil's fault. Bah! Now I need to find a new one.
Schwartz - do you know anyone with braces? If so they should have the little rubber bands.

Get rid of the damn trigger spring, the sear its self can reset the trigger and it makes the pull lighter, but a little sloppier. I put a spring from a pen but cut it so it has almost no pressure in it when the trigger is forward, takes out some of the slop.

More than twice, actually, one of those wierd things. Two makes it maby an ounce lighter than the stock spring.
