well...hi. im a newb in a way but not really. my first gun is going to be the 98C like the other 98% of the population's. my friend is selling me gun and ****e load of extras for $140. he said it has a green sniper barell on it and im not sure what it is,so im thinking of getting a new barrel. i just want some suggestions for a new barrel. xmas is coming so i figure ill havemaybe close to (probly a little less) 300 bucks after the seasons IF i dont buy his gun. now should i buy his gun (comes with gun,barrel,harness,hopper,20&9 oz tanks, mask, gloves) OR wait for the seasons end and buy a more expensive gun? thanks

I say if you are asking this question you aren't confident about it and the Tippmann won't serve you well...get a marker you are sure and confident in or else you will end up being disappointed. That's my opinion.

Personally, I love the 98C but I think it is either one of those "you love it or you hate it" things.

For only $140 that's a pretty good deal, assuming the marker is in good condition, which being a Tippmann, it most likely is. I would say go for it if you like the feel of the Model 98. It will be a great first marker for you.

As for buying a more expensive one - don't do it unless you really need the fire power. Like if you were going to be playing tournies. But seeings how this is your first marker - start off small. Learn how to take care of the marker and keep it in top condition. That's how most of us did it.
