I was wondering what a good reg for a black dragun would be. I use co2 and heard that the regs are better that expansion chambers. tell me if I'm wrong.

I have not used a regulator other than the one that came with the gun but I think I can help. You should try going to the product review section of this site. I am sure there are several regulators reviews. Hope this helped.:)

for co2, the best regulator is the Palmers Stabalizer, it'll give u consistancy and still block out liquid better then an expansion...

MaxFlow would be my choice.

Note: if you're going to spend big bucks on a CO2 compatible reg just consider spending a little bit more and getting a good nitro system. There's a ton of good deals on used systems in the forums.

I would get the palmer, actualy... I am... The only reason I am still using Co2 is because there is nowhere within three hours that I can get an HPA fill.... I hate Auburn AL.... It has been bad ever since they built that football stadium.... I was not born when it was built, but I know it would have been better withought it.... When there is a football stadium in your town..... no other hobie can survive..... We had 2 comic shops close, an anime depot close, an RC hobby shop close, and a paintball field close.... That was my daily rant....

That sucks X_Brolly_X:( Football wipes out all other fun things to do. I would have to agree with you guys if he is still going to use CO2, use the palmer.;)

If you can only use co2 than get the palmer stabalizer. If you are going to use co2 for a while but eventually switch to nitro then id suggest the maxflow.

The verticle MaxFlow will work just as well on CO2 as it does on air. I believe the price is a little steeper than the Stabilizer, but it's a top notch reg and is easily maintainable. Plus it's better looking than the Palmer IMO.

I can't get hpa fills near me either. me and a couple other guys bought a few scuba tanks and we send them in to get filled. it works out pretty good. it only costs like 10 bucks to fill the whole scuba tank...

How much did you pay for the tanks? How many fills do you get?
