What Is Bunkering?

Just A quick question, I would like to know what bunkering is?
Im kind of new to paintballing (about a year) and have never heard that term till I came here.

Its when somone on the opposing team runs at your bunker, usually coming overtop, point blanking you. It is a very risky move, because the person that is targeted, may become aware, and counter-bunker the bunker attemping player.

This should really only be used in tournaments, not in a "just for fun" game.

Bunkering is when there is a guy behind a bunker and u run to the side and soot him a good tip for trying to bunker someone is when u find a person within running range and he is behind a bunker u run at the bunker shooting non stop then u run up and shoot him

Wow, bunkering. A great art that has to be mastered, uhh, sort of. I remember the first time I got bunkered, someone was leaving his body wide open shooting at my teammate right beside me I stepped out a little and popped him, but when I ducked back I had a nice surprise coming in about one second, luckily my reflexes helped me get a double elimination with the person bunkering me. Memories. Bunkering is an effective, if not somewhat brutal way. But, that all depends on if you are bunkering a newbie. "Ok guys, this is my first game, go easy on me." 5...4...3...2...1..., 2 seconds later he's crawling to the sideline with 5 paint spots on his back. Bunkering is a good stragey, but spare the newbies... I'm rambling.

Do you play speedball? If you do you probably havent REALLY played and got the filling for it yet. If you play rec. ball i can understand why you dont Know what it is. Anyway Bunkering is when someone is in a bunker and you run up to the bunker they are in and hold your gun over the bunker and shoot at point blank range to get someone out or to be safe you could have a safty kill instead of shooting at point blank.

bunkering hurts!! in rec, i bunker but intstead of shooting, i put my gun close to there face and scream YOUR DEAD U MOTHER ****ING! if they dont take the chances i give them! BANG!!!

Bunkering is fun. I love nailing those pro's 10 times. They couldnt do anything about it either! HUWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Ooooo they have there high-end guns, i have a 98 Custom, i still win... Its all skill boys. not necesarrily the gun (well, sometimes it is)

There's also some luck. There's this guy called Jarno, that comes and visits our team practice every Sunday. He's played for 10 years, and is some kind of guru:). I bunkered him a few weeks ago...He stopped shooting all of a sudden, so I ran. Turns out he ran out of bullets and was reloading....mwuuahahahha.

Most people bunker opponents by keeping paint flying at the bunker (and all around it) so the opponent can not pop out and snap shoot.. this way the opponent will get nervous and stay behind the bunker, thus allowing you to move closer and come around or over the bunker
