ok..here it is..just venting...

I don't think Laser sights should be allowed on paintball fields..I for one...will give SH*T to any one who even points one in my direction...

we wear goggles to protect our eyes from paintballs...but there is noway to protect them from a laser

On a real firearm a laser sight doesn't matter because you plan on killing what ever is in your sights...so who cares if they go blind...

But after a paintball game...I am still gonna need my eyes..

DON'T GET ME WRONG...I don't care about the red dot sights or a regular scope..if you so choose...

BUT KEEP THE LASER SIGHTS AT HOME ON THE OLD 45....ok...thanks

I have a laser siught, but at our field, we never shine them at others masks. There more for snipers who get behind the other teams bunkers, and use it to shoot people in the back. I also use it so u can shoot while im running and i dont want to have my gun by my face. I only kep it one when i need ti to aim, im not one of those fools who runs around the whole game with it one either. I agree with u though, they shoudnt be shot at peoples eyes. They light up the hwole mask, so the person cant see, and it damdages the eyes. However, if theyre used like theure supposed to , then they should be allowed on the field.

not to attack you..but I don't think they should be allowed near the field...

mistakes are made...that's why they call them accidents..
They don't let full auto on the fields..and if used correctly..won't harm you..

at least a welt will heal...even 5 or ten welts..but I have two eyes...and thats it...

also ..I wouldn't want to be liable for someone loosing their eye sight..because a good lawyer would sue everyone on the field with a laser...if someone was to get injured..

Just my opion..and my eyes...

good point, for now, though, the sight dont even work becasue there is two feet of snow on the ground, so the most the site does for me is allow me to sight of the top of it. They probably shouldnt be allowed, but i have one, and use it responsible, so i still wiil. I dont hink they should be used on public fields. but on mine, everyone we paly with is very serious, and we havent had ne incidents that would really jepardize ne ones eye site or whatever. Our field rule is that u **** up, u stand next to tree and got shot at 5 times in the back by whoever u ****ed with. Its a harsh rule, but scares the pis out of evryone, so no one screws around, We havent ever had to do that though, which is good

A red dot site is fine though. In fact adco makes them specifically FOR paintball. So they MUST be alright. They dot even project a red dot or anything. I would never use a scope or any form of projection or red dot device only because i trust my eye. Hey most of the time it works ;)

well not to say that scietific studies are always 100% correct but I heard on the radio that new results show the power of the lasers used in laser pointing device and such have no affect on the retina as before us being prediposed to believe otherwise the new data has been in testing for the last 5 years and studies showed that both people and laboratory mice were not affected by the constant glare of a laser pointers light emissions and that there was no danger in the light because the light receptors in the back of the eye even though photo sensitive are much more harmed by the uv rays whihc unfortunately the cornea carries the brunt of this destructive force but anyone who knows how the human eye works all of our images we percieve a transposed upside down and backward and then are broken down into colors of the spectrum and translated by the brain ... to make a long story short these receptors are not harmed nor affected by the laser because it's intesity does not excede or even come close to looking directly into the sun...

I have a laser on my TL+ and dont use it often. I will sometimes in 24/7 games but i think its useless. Even if you have a accurate barrel your basicly shooting a water balloon through the air. They can help if you go to a kids day game if your field has em because them newbies run like hell when they fear they are in danger.
