OH MAMMA, YOU GUYS MISSED OUT! I had soooo much fun. This was my first game in about 11 months. First things first...
The newbies sucked, I would run my a$$ as far as I could on the breakout just to realize I was the only one on the team who WASN'T afraid of the balls. The first two games (newbie games) I got hit, but I got one guy with an impulse out with a hopper shot (my favs).
I met 3 cool guys who were in my group. 2 had their own guns, 1 played in the Road to Aruba tourney. We played some Sup' Air Ball (yes!!) and I did well. I made three eliminations (1st game I took someone out and got out, 2nd I got the whole team)....The second game was SWEET! I ran to the right Spike (can shaped bunker) on the breakout and took out a guy playing the snake by clipping his hopper (I had to yell at him to CHECK HIS HOPPER!). I then took his place on the inside snake. By then my teammate who was playing the back left standup was eliminated. I was almost horizontal with my opponent. We were shooting at eachother sideways and making moves to new bunkers when I got a little more behind him and shot his gun while he was running for a bunker.
After that we played an Amateur NPPL Team. Cool, yes. It was 4 on 4. I made my first bunker move to the right spike. A guy was in the same bunker working the opposite angle. He got shot cause he leaned out accidently. Our back player got taken out and it was me and another guy vs. one opponent (I got one out already, my teammates got two also). I told my teammate to put some balls on his bunker while I got him. He did this and I ran up to the right side of the back bunker and bunkered him. If it makes any difference...I took out a Defiant and an Angel in that game.
Next we played some speedball. I won all my 1 vs. 1 matches. One of the guys I met gave me 100 balls for my stock barrel (no deal, there's a bigshot in the mail). So I played with his crappy stock barrel which noticebally decreased performance.
After a visit to the pro-shop I asked the NPPL team (now with three other Amateur teams) if I could play some Air ball with em before I go. I played 2 serious games and one with a guy's Boo-yah spyder (talk about that later)
1st game 3 vs. 5 (we had 3). I was to go right spike and shoot the left angle, guard the snake. I went right side a couple times and got yelled at. I didn't got one guy out, while it was jus me and a teammate w/ a defiant. While he was trying to sweetspot the last guy, I ran up and bunkered the guy. Almost identical bunker play.
2nd game 4 vs 4. Same plan as before. There was a guy to my right who was in trouble, he got bunkered at the submarine only 10 feet infront of me. I leaned out and snap-shot and the guy (who bunkered my teammate)'s hopper and managed to get it. In the middle of the field was a big inflated spider, if you've never seen one it's hard to describe, but friggin cool. An opponent made a break for the back right leg of the spider, I took two shoots and missed, those were my last balls. I called myself out and that was that.
3rd game 2 vs 2. This was the game were I got to use a guy's Spyder SE with Boo-yah and a Crossfire tank. HADOKEN, PAY ATTENTION. I made the same breakout move as before. The trigger frame was very big and uncomfortable for me. But the trigger was FAST! I was poppin balls faster than ever.. My teammate told me to lay some fire on a guy's bunker..I don't know why, I did it and it proved nothing. I ran out of balls but still kept shooting air jus to make it seem like I was doing something. My teammate took out both players.
AND THAT WAS THE WASAGA BEACH WAMMIE! And it only costed $35 for 500 balls. There were two other games that I played in the wood fields with other gun owners, they weren't this interesting though.
Hadoken, after testing the Booyah grip, I can tell ya it aint worth it. Sure I could shoot fast, but I unloaded my hopper very quickly. Save up for a TRUE electro.
