i only paid 90 for my compact 2000 but i am gonna upgrade over 200 soon startin with the cmi xchamber i ordered yesterday

FredRandle seems to be the only intelligent one here. I paid $140 on Ebay and got a Tipp 98 C, drop forward w/ 20 oz, x-chamber, 16" barrel, 240+ hopper, JT Thermal spec. gogs, and 500 PBalls (not sure what kind) they suck though. You wanna spend the least as possible while gettin the best you can, upgrade when your dead.

The problem with my 2K1 auto cocker is that after replacing the barrel it is pretty good stock. The problem with starting from a stock cocker is that you get the mentality. Hmm what accesory will make my gun look pretty and have even the tiniest parformance value so I can justify to myself that the part is need for that not just looks

Well, the Talon is infinately better. When you sneak onto a farm to shoot cows, and the owner starts running at you, and you flee, and then trip over an electric fence, which would you rather have: a $1100 paper weight, or a functioning piece of crap?

i got a compact with some upgrades. i think in paintball to totally understand and apriciate the sport you start out with a simple gun and upgrade from there.

but i did that.. i upgraded my compact2k like you are, but then that leads to making your own spyder, and that leads to getting a cocker/mag, then that leads to electro.

but it was a great couple years in that period. and i learned a lot about the sport...so your on the right track man, but im just saying that if you play long enough, you will end up spending about 1000 on your gun.
