My rat has had a problem with the maxflo (valve pressure right?) slowly creeping up to far above 200, and once i shoot it, the pressure immediately goes back to normal. As the hours of playing go by, the creeping gets faster and faster.

THEN, it begins to leak from the maxflo (i dont know exactly where, im about to gas it up and find it out). Ill shoot, and problem is solved for about 5-10 more minutes. It slowly gets to the point that I just have to stop playing and pack up.

its gotten worse over time, ive put up with it for a while. It takes about 4-6 hours for it to get real bad (from the second i gas it up).

so i completley took off my max flo, cleaned it, regreased. And the problem persisted where it left off. Any ideas guys? Legend? Skog? Wolverine? FOM? ANYBODY?

On a side note, Im so glad none of this happened at the tournament yesterday, we played in the 3-man AO tourny in Clemson against 6 other teams, a few of which were just getting back from the world cup (playing). only one of our teammates had played in a tourny before, it was our first. WE TOOK FIRST!!! We were undefeated in the preliminary rounds, and got maxed the first game in the finals. But we won all the rest of them, and maxed "king coochie tom tom's and the fatback boys" in the last game, at least I think that was the team.

there is a burst valve that "makes" it "leak" at 240 psi, im assuming there is somthing up with your max flow - clean it maybe? - lets wait for someone smarter to agree before you start this though....

EDIT - i suck at reading, i c you cleaned it, did you reassemble it correctly?

I probably should have included this, but the burst valve you are talking about is the PRV, pressure relief valve. Yes it vents excess pressure at 240 psi, But i dont happen to have one. In place of where a prv would go, i have an LPR. I could mount one on the back.

So it cant be the prv venting, maybe something else is venting because its just too much pressure for it? i really dont know

There are two things that have a very high probibly of causing your problem. this is normaly caused by the o-ring in the back of the reg that is sandwiched between the two tapered washers or the very tiny O-ring on the reg piston.

I would bet the probelm is the o-ring in the brass piston. Most fokes don't even know this o-ring is there. Take of the bottom of the reg and pull out the brass piston. ont the "top" (the part closest to the gun) of the piston, in the center there is a hole. INSIDE of tht hole is a very small o-ring. Normly you can just replace this o-ring and all will be well. As you may no have a replacment just laying around, try this. take something small like a tooth bick or your .050 allen wrench and put a little bit of Dow on it. Now spread a little bit of lube on the INSIDE of that tiny o-ring. This may get you back on the road until you get a new o-ring.

As FOM said, replacing the the o-ring in the back of the reg fixed the problem for me. I think it's oring #246 or 47 on the manual.

Good luck.
