im gunna probably be buyin a Pre-Release impy soon (maybe, not sure) and i was just readin the FAQs about teh serial number stuff and it said the pre release imps used cut down shocker barrels.... does this mean that id have to cut the barrel down my self or am i just stuck with the barrel on there pretty much?

i think that smart parts will do it for you. I'd ask them.

well if it comes with a barrel, you're stuck with that until you buy a shocker barrel and yes, cut it down yourself just like all the original imp owners did...
Very few of the prerelse Impulses have "cut down" shocker threads. Most have the current Impulse threads. I have prerelese number 1344 in front of me right now and it has the current Impulse threads (BTW- they started at 1001) We had #1008 and #1013 (as well as 45 other prerelese guns)
personally: don't get a pre release impulse
if you do get one you would have to replace a number of the stock parts, for example the aluminum ram shaft for an SS one, as after the pre release imps came out sp realised that quite a few stock parts were not good enough and have changed them since

they guy told me the serial number, and its real close to yours FOM, so i guess i dont have to worry about the barrels. But i was lookin at some of the imps from epaintballoutlet and i think im gunna get one of those instead. thanks for the help guys.
PS: Does the LPR mod help a lot more then the tap worm with whatever its supposed to do? and could you tell me what it does? im tryin to figure out if i wanna spend the extra 25 on one. thanks again.
To be honest, the LPR mod is my second choice. I feel the "full flow" mod is the best dollar for dollar investment (the VFF of old) but as we can't do that anymore, the LPR id NOW the best thing you can do to an Impulse (after that the ND slick shaft)
So YES- the LPR is very worth it!

what does it do though? im not gunna spend 25 bucks on something that i dont know what it does? i think the tapeworm is supposed to help with bolt stick so you can dry fire it, so does the LPR mod do that, but better some how? or does it lower the recocking pressure or something? thanks.

the lpr provides a seperate ai flow to the solenoid alowwing you to raise the pressure on your max flo with out damaging the noid, and with its own air supply, it wont choke, so its good

what about the evil respirator FOM? I'm very curious as to how well they perform and how much fuss is invlved in using one.
