STS g2 auto?

HEY I just bought a Piranha STS G2 on ebay and I got it and the gun fires rapidly like an auto for some reason but the shots are way out of controll and I can't controll the burst size so I'm preety sure it's not some randome lucky buy i think I have a leak problem somewhere. Cause the last time I checked the Piranha STS G2 wasen't automatic, the guy I bought it from said somethig about needing a new ball detent, caould this be the problem and if not what might it be?

Does it stop after you let go? If not the sear may be worn, if it does stop, then the dude you bought if from moded the trigger.

Please elaborate on what it is EXACTLY doing. :)

No it's not chopping any balls, but when you pull the trigger the gun dosen't stop shooting it might shoot off like 30-100 blanks before stopping.I hope this info helps

It's a broken sear.....need to get it replaced....go to your local PB shop and see what they can do....if it's leaking, check the CO2 chamber for tampering....of course, this guy could have moded the gun too so...like i said, take it to your local PB shop.

I'm all with Magnus55....don't know Randle's prob....anyway....sear can be gotten at local PB shop and it is connected to the gun's trigger and allows it to fire....i've just heard of a lot of pep's having trouble w/ them in the past....it or the sear spring could be messed up....that might be why the guy sold it to ya....get one online....might be more $$ but you get what you pay for...

Hey not to get off topic or anything but If anyone who actually know's something about painball guns!!! I think I figured out what was wrong, there is a little slide bar on my handle that is the sear release slide could this have something to do with my problem???? thanks again PBMonkey

Like i said dude.....talk to your local PB shop and find out from them....if i had the gun w/ me then i could find out for you.....else you can strip it yourself and run the risk of not being able to put it together again.....up to you....

actually there is such thing as a transfer rod, it's another name for a gas-thru grip, and as for what you're crap shooter linkage arm thing does, well they are only used in pretty much only tippmans, and due to their inferiority I don't want to associate my self with the likes of them. And some genius you must be to just look in your tippman 98 manual sitting right next to you. ha! fool!
