I openned a field this spring, but business is SLOW. I am located on a main highway, my prices are CHEAP. I'm so cheap that I have a website at geocities: http://www.smakzone.com

I need to advertise. What's my best bet??? Flyers? Local paper?

try newspaper or the classifieds.
internet ads i dont know if they work to well.
tell friends or people i got like 15 people into paintball just by bringing an apg to school.
maybe goto a kino's and make a drawing type thing and post it on people's doors or something like that.

well i hope this helps

Print out some flyers and post them on telephone poles or mailboxes in neighborhoods. There will be a lot of kids outside because it is summer now (unless this is a real old post)and the kids will see the flyers and goo "cool I've always wanted to try paintballing" So put a cool picture or logo on it to attract their attention and then post your great prices or some special promo to convince the parents to let their kids go. Say something like protective eye wear enforced at all times. Something that lets the parents know it is a safe and fun place, and that paintball is fun not dangerous. Have a day where the parent pays and the kid gets in free that way you can hook two customers and it gives the two something to do together. This could be total garbage because I've never tried to run my own business but I hope it helps in some way.

try putting some adds in school newspapers. That should help. If you want cheap advertizing. Put a big sign on the side of your car.

have some of your every weekend players pass out flyers. Your prices are good but not great. The field i play at is $5 charge, $15 for cheap paint, 17 for midnight, and 20 for blaze. Then a rental tippmann carbine is 12 for the mask air and gun. Also you can get a spyder w/ an upgraded barell if you ask. They also have a Sup Air field, a wilderness field, and a gigantic field that is only used for tourney/24 hr. games.

Ok, get people who work for you to go play at other fields. The entire time have them bi7ch about how bad the fields are there, and that your place is so much better and cheaper.

Also you could have them shoot the refs, get ejected and cause a big scene. It would be easy, effective, and FUN!!

:) :D :)

The most cost-effective way that I've found is to hand out flyers. Go to another field's tourney (after asking him permission), and hand out flyers. Also, talk with the other field owners around, and try to schedule events seperately. I mean, if you have 4 fields in your area, and they're all having a tourney on the same day, that's not good.

I was thinking flyers. The next nearest field is an hour away after that, about 100 miles. I actually buy my paint from the next nearest field. The owner is a dealer and I get a good deal and we don't step on each others toes.

Crappy.. if it were during the year, you could have advertised at the local Universities and Colleges.. that can increase biz by 10 fold... Uh try putting out coupons or special deals for stags and stuff.. or whatever.

Quite the dilemma.. try to post ads in community centers.. possibly a kids camp.. Parents are always willing to ditch their kids! :P... but seriously.. word of mouth will probably be the best.. have a teenager special or something... Your prices are good, just jack 'em up a little and it will look like you're giving everyone a deal.
