I've heard alot of people ask this question, so I decided to reasearch this.. Here is a chart:

Question - Can I fill my HPA tank w/ my compressor?
Short answer: No. Long answer: No. Your standard, fill-up-the-tires, spraypaint-a-car, typical Craftsman/DeWalt/Black Maxx/Coleman/etc. hardware store compressor only works to about 125 psi. They work using low-pressure, high flow (hence the huge tanks usually accompanying them) setups. They're all about CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) of flow necessary to drive most air tools. |
