Third Party Trading!

Since I've been given the privilege of moderating this forum. I thought how can we make all transactions as pleasant an experiences for both the buyer and the seller as possible. Well I think I've found the solution. It's called a third party trade. Here's how it works.

Let's say Johnny wants to sell Billy his Autococker, So Johnny sends his cocker to Mr Smith (a local paintball shop owner) Mr Smith looks over Johnny's cocker and tells Billy, Yes it's worth the X number of dollars that Johnny wants. Billy would then pay the total shipping (from Johnny's to Mr Smith's to Billy's) as well as Johnny asking price. Mr Smith doesn't ship Billy the gun until after Johnny gets his money.

If the Autococker is junk or no good, Johnny pays for shipping to and from Mr Smith's shop.
A small service fee should be paid to Mr Smith for his part in this transaction.
This way nobody gets burned, I've used this method myself with great results.

I will check with the moderator of some of the other regional forums and see if they will help supply us with names of shops from each state that would be willing to work with us establishing such a system.

Let me know if this is something you guys would be interested in?

sounds nice, it looks like people wont get ripped as much anymore if we use this system.

yah but what if billy happens to know the third party and gives him 20 to rip sender off??
i know this is probably extremely rare, but just was trying to let you weigh all your options
overall great idea!

DeAd-EyE 03-02-2002 02:11 PM

excellent idea Kat.
If u need a 3rd party store in toronto, i can help u cut a deal with sgt.splatters so that we canucks can benifit from this as well.

wwhooper 03-14-2002 04:21 PM

and wht if Mr Smith takes both guns (if it's trade)

DeAd-EyE 03-15-2002 03:16 PM

then we kill him

Mcot 03-15-2002 05:28 PM

the best way to do this is through palmers. I belive it is 20$ or 35$. Bu they not only make the trade, the test the stuff out too. And they are very reputable.

Simpsonator 03-16-2002 07:12 PM

Hey dead eye. You go to Splatters a lot. I go there all the time!
Go Canada!!

thats how i got my evolutionX :agree:... payed 800 for it in perfect condition woot even got that spiffy cover that no one uses... and neither do i.. but oh well its spiffy anyways. So the moral of this story is.... 3rd party = good : drugs= bad : the agree smiley = :agree: awsome

KK-

You and I have discussed this before, and after getting royally screwed on a barrel, I think this option could really benefit alot of people. Given that many of the members here are in their early to late teens, I could see how it would be quite easy to take advantage or be taken advantage of (whether it is intentional or not). I also know that many of the users here cannot afford to loose money on a sour deal.

If there is anything that I can do in the upstate area, let me know.

xXhappyAznXx 04-04-2002 09:03 PM

will the moderators do it for money

everyone actually trust you guys;)

Killer Kat 04-05-2002 04:26 AM

Hummm....

Do you have a little sister? j/k  I'm old enough to be most of you guys father! :| That's always a possibility xXhappyAznXx ( I mean a few of the moderators becoming third party dealers! NOT me being your father!!!) We are still looking into what needs to be covered to make it work best for the 3 parties involved. So this isn't or hasn't been forgotten, We're still figuring out all the angles to make it right.

wwhooper 04-05-2002 07:58 AM

Having this 3rd party would have been nice when we tryed to buy a marker on these forums. We actually almost got screwed. But when he refused to send us a tracking number we used a special google hack to find his phone # and called his mommy :finger:! he still stuck to his story about having shipped it a week before, but said "he would get the tracking number tomorrrrow" and it turned out he hadn't shipped it until the day after we called!

abracadabra1 04-18-2002 11:49 AM

buying C&C angel...where can I find palmer to do the third party bit for me?

THanks!
