http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2627196 heres the link that i got this info from. Sucks:( :( :( :( :( |
Yep, saw that earlier today. Looks like I'll be buying some spare parts for my Quest this evening.....
if you read the 2nd to lasy post .. supposedly they arent done yet just idle:D
Had a look at the latest posts. LU tends to know what's going on and his post sounds hopeful. In any event, I now have a Goldmember bolt, snatch pin and a couple of o-ring kits on the way to me, courtesy of Paintball Kingdom.
if they are just marketing under the urban quest name now, i don't see a whole lot of difference. i only read about half o page 1 though.
damn that sucks, i also wanted to try out a quest though they look sick
well after kee f'd em over thing happened. I was told their restructuring which is what hybrid did, angel did for a very short time and a few other companies.
Oh well, My quest is still very much alive to me. I used it in a tourney, it's my main, and it shoots laserz yo...
Has the link to the thread been deleted? I can't read it.:|
That's too bad. They were a good firm.
I think the thread was removed due to it's being considered to have been spreading unsubstantiated rumours.
yeah i cant see the thread.... so supposedly FEP might go down the drain?
It's a rumour that has been popping up regularly for a while now. Their site has been down for a few months now, updating. No new products released. Phone calls and e-mails are seldom answered. Admittedly, it doesn't look good.
However, there are as many counter rumours as to why they are quiet, as there are rumours stating that they are finished. It's a very small company with very few staff, and apparently, all their efforts are going in to developing new products, and they are staying under the radar until such time as they are finished. They have stated that all warranty work should go to their service centres, and all enquiries regarding spare parts and accessories should be directed to Critical Paintball - certainly, parts and support are still available, just not direct from FEP. Having contacted Critical myself for some parts, and being informed that they had stock coming in, as soon as anodising was finished, it suggested to me that parts were still being made, which has to be encouraging - just don't expect to deal with the company direct. |
FEP will always be alive in my heart <33333
man, I was thinking about buying a quest... but now...
i'd still buy one! i just got mine last month and it is by far the easiest to maintain, has a trigger that blows all other triggers away, and no kick. there is realy almost no parts to brake or lose my stock board has like 8 settings on it and you can adjust just about everything on it. quest rocks :)
aww thats rally sad. y?
Well from what I heard, they're still alive and around. They are just not advertising. Critical Paintball is now the service center for anything FEP related. They have every part for the Quest. As for what's going on with FEP,... well only time will tell. I for one am a PROUD Quest owner! I picked on up from a buddy of mine as a Birthday/Christmas present to myself (since it's only 2 days a part). Other than the main harness being messed up, the marker is tops in my book! I just recieved my extra Goldmember bolt along with another snatch pin/bolt guide. And I just ordered a new harness. She shall be up and running hopefully by next weekend! :D
FEP went in to "hibernation" for a while, for want of a better description, but they are hoping to relaunch this year.
My first Quest is on the way.... I don't let small stuff like companys 'hibernating' or going outta biz dictate my purchases. Of course I've been a faithful Tribal owner since '99.... what we can't find, we manufacture at the TOG.:D
