SP1 Remote adapter Mod
I'd like to make a mod to my SP1 but I'm not really sure the best way to do. Maybe someone did something similar here.

I like to use markers without stock but with a remote with slidecheck to keep it light. I'm also used to switch hands as situation demands.

Unfortunatelly connecting remotes in the usual ASA adapter below the grip makes it dificult to change hands easily due to the remote and slide check.

I own an Tippmann A5 that works great since I can install the ASA/nipple in the marker body just in front of the trigger guard. The remote stays out of the way while changing hands.

I tried to install a nipple directly to the regulator with or without a 90 deg elbow. But I noticed a problem.

The bottom of the regulator turns freely. Not an issue in the stock setup since the grip ASA adapter is fixed. But with a remote connected directly to the regulator it will turn all the time. This will probably stress some o-ring. Not a good idea. May cause leaks...

Did anyone try something alike?

your 2 options are either just screwing the nipple adapter into the asa or just like you did, installing a nipple directly to the reg. It will swivel which is fine, it wont unscrew as it uses a c-clip inside that to keep it secure. only other way youd actually be able to do it would be to put a different reg on the gun, such as a palmers stabalizer (if your using co2)

Hi, Ambush

Yes, I'm using CO2.
I also have a second stabilizer (Palmers-female) in the remote.

I understand that the reg bottom will swivel but it is secured.
But since it is pressurized there must be an o-ring somewhere between the bottom and the reg body.
I wonder : if the reg bottom swivel all the time, this o-ring won't get damaged ?

the reg doesnt actually start till above that collar. Thats simply all the bottom is, just a collar and swivel so the hose position can be changed by the user. No need to worry about it.
