Sounds like you have both the firing point and cocking point too close to the beginning of the trigger pull. If you want the safety to be functional, you'll need to lower the hammer lug a little, until the safety works properly, and then adjust the cocking point until you have the same gap between cocking and firing as you did before.
It's just like a battle zone, you got a bottle and you're on your own.
Gotta be a Scotch or a Kamikaze, none of those other weapons will faze me.
