Turns out my Quest wasn't bouncing... it was just in ramp.
Who makes the LED for firing mode orange anyway? Come on! Everybody else is white.
And yes, I was very lazy in figuring this out on the Quest, I have many others guns that I work on before I go to my 'dusty guns'.
