from a legal standpoint, this idea could be a nightmare. There would have to be explicit rules in place releasing the third party from liability so the third party doesn't get royally screwed and to avoid paying unecessary legal fees. I could go into detail and there's other considerations I'd make as well but I'm short on time and you guys would get bored reading about them. I think I still have some of the contract and implied risk work we did for a marine sales escrow organization a few years back. It wouldn't take much more than changing the wording around to release the third party from most of the liability issues.

Anyhow, I've been screwed over on eBay recentely and will never trade through them again. So to finally get to the point, I think it's a good idea based on my recent experiences.
