I did this when my Spyder ran out of CO2. Since my friends and I would play in a group. (about 6 or 7 of us) When I would need to get a fill, I would wait until after they played to get it. In the meantime I would stay and guard the gear.

thats not that bad an idea actually... all you need is a duffle bag and a bike lock. nobody would be able to take anything from it without attracting a whole lot of attention.

I just get a couple little small bags, and before each game, I just shove everything into them, and play. I havent had anything stolen that way yet. Everybody else just leaves their stuff on the tables and stuff while they are getting Co2 and such. None of it has been stolen yet.
I must play at an honest field. lol

best way to avoid paint theft, do like my friend bender did one time. kids jacked some of our paint when we were playing (since the paintbox was left unlocked) and he saw it, walks over and says "Hey thats a nice gun you got there." guy looks up from working on it and bender just blindsides the guy and lays him out. nobody else stole our paint after that.

Carry Shruikens (throwing stars) on your belt next to your paint pods and throw them at any intruders.
Chain that handy dandy bike lock to the side of a pitbull and tie him to a wall.

at one of my fields they have team areas set up for about 20 teams at a time then anothe rbackup area...basically big room like a field balcony...and wall divider thingys in like a 12x12 space so u can comfortable fit your whole team and gear in that area...some have doors u can put alock on but basically we are all honmest but if somebody see's somebody in a different poersons staging area they will tell the people who are staged in that area or go and kick the guy out...it works really well.....

Another great idea is to engrave the serial numbers by sending it to FBM or any other company that engraves gun. What does every think about that idea.

yeah people are so generous with paint
i've ran outa paint on the field and a teammate i didnt even know threw me a 150 round pod

[quote=grizwald]Put some kind of obvious deterant like a what I did: I took a film canister, filled it with lead fishing weights or "sinkers" (enough that they don't shake", cut the rim off of the lid (so it is nice and smooth), super glued the top on, attached a coiled piece of wire I found somewhere, and wrote in white metalic gel pen the words "Tracker 2000" on it, and glued it to my gear bag. He, he I saw one guy checkin out my gear then he looked at it, looked around paranoidly, and left
I like your idea about the "Tracker 2000". Most theives are ignorant opportunists just waiting for the right moment to strike. Since most of them don't have the IQ of a rabbit, deterrants such as yours often work well, especially when accompanied by some of the other great ideas mentioned on this post. I'd like to catch one trying to steel a PB setup. I'd get my squad and we'd have a nad shooting party.

Super glue the bag of stuff to the ground and keep a case of super glue remover in you're pocket so only you can pick up the bag.

if u found a $1000+ gun and there was a note inside with the persons number would u return it? im not saying its a bad idea and you should still do it but its just better if u put a lock on ure bag too and always keep it with you
