It drop tests to 35bps - you won't get that speed on a marker. VL claim 25bps on marker.

If you search there are a number of threads that discuss the VLocity. Here is something I posted with some details about the loader itself: -

The Ricochet Apache box has always stated that it fed 20bps, even when the loader was first introduced, and only actually fed an average 16bps. They printed the boxes in advance with the speed that they were trying to get the loader to feed, before the development of the loader was finished. The loader was found to be unreliable at 18bps, and they had to reduce the speed to make it work better, but the boxes had already been printed.

The 2K5 upgrades added 2-2.5bps, for an average loading speed of 18bps (these speeds relate to drop tests mind you, so the on gun speeds are likely to be lower), but the boxes still say 20bps, as the box design hasn't been changed. The loader may achieve a maximum feed rate of 20bps in a drop test, but the average would be lower.

Is it necessary for a low-end mechanical marker to use an agitated hopper? I find myself having to "shake" my rodeo whenever I shoot strings of more than 5 rounds..

Should I invest in something like the Rico AK?

If you are having to shake your loader to get it to feed, then yes, you would benefit from using an agitated loader. An AK, Reloader 2 or Revolution should all be suitable for your needs.

If you are considering purchasing a faster marker in the not too distant future, or upgrading the Rodeo for higher performance, you may want to spend a bit more on a faster loader now, rather than having to buy another one at a later date.

I heard you have to load the q-loader pods one ball at a time, is this true?

u have to wind the spring and the slide the balls in
very tedious and if u mess up
WHOOSH! all the balls go flying, and each pod only holds 100balls

You don't physically place a ball in to the pod one at a time.

The balls are held in high capacity hopper that is attached to the Q-pod with a length of hose. The pod internals are then turned with a hand crank while balls are fed in to it from the hopper by gravity, so all you do is crank the handle and shake the hopper if necessary to keep it feeding. Some people use an agitated loader to feed the paint more consistently in to the Q-pod, rather than using the hopper supplied with the Q-loader.

what hopper would be affordable and keep up with an electra acs05? Would a Reloader 2 keep up?

The Reloader 2 feeds around 13bps max on marker - if you shoot any faster than that, it won't keep up.

Will you be shooting the electra over 13bps? If so, it won't keep up.

The real question you need to be asking is how fast can you shoot the Electra. I do not know how fast your fingers are, so I cannot answer that question for you.

eVLution 2. However if you can magically get to the 30 BPS advertised by Kingman, the Reloader B is your best bet. But a measely 26 BPS is what it puts out.

In which case if you are shooting at least the maximum feed rate of the loader, you need something faster, certainly in order to feed 15bps. The cheapest loader that will do that is the Evlution 2 as Soccerjacks suggested.

i can bounce an electra to a good 17-19 w/o chops. after that point, theres paint all over the barrel and in the gun.

hopper for me: Reloader B. it improves upon the halo in every way possible. now all that's needed for it is a new board (B2) and it's all set.

Which brings us back to the Evlution 2.
