In my experience, yes. I recommend using lukewarm or cool water for your lens.

I Suggest you don't wash the inside of your lenses, for that is not made to be touched with water, for the goggles will fog. I like Plexus, for it works me wonders.

Ok, this may be a stupid question. But you guys all say not to use anything but water. If you're not supposed to use anything but water then why do so many companies make lens cleaners for paintball (like the core fog-off lens cleaner)? Are these safe or what? Oh, and I saw that you shouldn't clean the back of your lens with water, but paint will inevitably get there. So what's a pb'er to do?

Is it Ok to wash the inside of the lens? after I ran water through it it left water marks so when I went to wipe it it felt sticky as if the anti-fog coating was beign bothered.

Just a damp, soft, cotton washcloth is what I use, then another dry one (or my sleeve) to get it nice and clear.

Ok I got the cleaning thing down. No chemicals, just water, don't even spit on them. Now what is the best thing out there for anti-fog? I live in Texas and after about five minutes I lose half my lens. Five minutes later I'm blind(thank god speedball is over fast). So whats the verdict?

Well the first thing you should do is get a thermal lens for whatever goggle you have. If that doesn't work, you could try anti fog spray, but they're all pretty much the same thing. Another option would be to get a goggle fan for it.

A little tip: Use a microfiber cloth. You can find one at a walmart for a couple of bucks. It doesn't damage your lens (obviously) and it cleans it much better than using a regular towel. I have never had to use any water or solvent to clean my mask and it's in perfect shape. If you use a regular towel over and over again, eventually you'll get little scratches in your lens. I bring a microfiber cloth with me when I go paintballing and if I get hit in the lens I just wipe it off when I get off the field with no problems. I've had my $20 mask for a while now and you can't see a single microscopic scratch on it at all, and I never had it fog up, because we all know how badly those solvents will mess up your fog resistant.

I wouldn't recommend it, however if you take the lense out, you may be able to. I just find washing my mask in the sing time and money saving.

is kind of a big deal

2 layer lenses are supposed to be sealed so that air and water can not get inside. if water is in there, the adhesive holding the lens together has broken somewhere. more likely from being stored than being washed.
probably time to buy a new lens

LOVE me some Plexus!! get it at any motorcycle supply shop, (it's made for cleaning/polishing helmet visors) never have found it in a paintball store.
& ALWAYS use a microfiber towel, even old T-shirt can scratch your lens.
I don't recommend Plexus on the inside, will still fog if really humid out. Anti-fog wipes meant for the inside of windshields or the bathroom mirror work pretty well, otherwise just gotta keep that inside surface just as clean & dry as possible.
The reason there are so many bulls**t "anti-fog" products out there is that manufacturers know we will by $5 for 2oz of junk on the fly... so don't buy that stuff. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."
