Wow, screw healthcare reform; we need an education system that can teach kids to compose coherent thoughts.

You've got it completely backwards. You WANT to use HPA with your Mini. CO2 is the gas that will damage your marker. In any event the Mini is meant to use HPA, so all you need is a nice fixed output tank, screw it in, set the reg and go to town.

I think you might be getting the concepts of high pressure air (HPA) and low pressure air (LPA) confused with high pressure output and low pressure output. HPA and LPA refers to the pressure in the tank - fill pressure in other words - while HP and LP output refers to the pressure being released from the tank, which will be dictated by the air systems regulator.

An HPA tank could be filled with 3000, 4500 or 5000psi of air, which dictates how much air is stored within a given volume. Any of these tanks could be fitted with an HP output reg or an LP output reg.

A common fill pressure for an LPA tank would be 1800psi - less air stored in the same volume, so you instantly take a big knock in your shot count. Again, an LPA tank could be fitted with an HP output reg or an LP output reg.

So, having explained, lets come full circle and get back to the original question.

I believe that it is recommended that the Mini be used with an LP *output* air system, but that would be an LP output reg on an HPA tank. You want an HPA air system, and you want to be filling with high pressure compressed air (or pure nitrogen), it's just that the HPA tank should have an LP output reg attached to it.

It would freeze up your internals, and shots would be a lot less consistent. not to mention you would break your marker.

Yeah, there aren't many options other than entirely mechanical markers or something like the vibe, sp-1, and spyders. Generally speaking, Electronics + Cold Gas = Not Good.

Like the others have said please do NOT put CO2 on a mini, it will only damage the gun.
