They have their place. Just like with an piece of equipment; you have to be smarter than it and not just take what it says as if Evil himself said it. Also, there is a huge difference between an EKG/ECG and a 12-Lead EKG. The first only has 3 leads and can ONLY be used for determining rate and rhythm. There are huge arguments about whether you can differentiate other abnormalities or not. The fact is that you can't. ^yep not that they don't have their place, but my doc pretty much said it's just a basic test to see if any weird readings come up, and if so then they use other tests to see if it's an actual problem or just a bad reading. Kind of a "filter" test I guess you could call it. Impressive it's still used at all given that it was invented, what, a hundred years ago?

Jason, does MI = Myocardial Infarction? Please say it does, I want to think I'm smart.

You are smart.....kinda.

I don't think some form of EKG will every be phased out. For rate and rhythm they are invaluable and there is no other substitute. As far as trying to diagnose a mycardial infarction, physical abnormalities, and electrolyte imbalances.......lab tests and other exams are, and always will, be the definitive answer. But until they get us portable, instant labs; we are stuck with what we got.

Something that is going away is the use of EKG, with stands for Electro-kardiagram. It is spelled wrong you say? That is why ECG is becoming popular.

I still want to know what is up with monkey. A scan of the EKG would be epicness. Pwease? I am at work and I am bored.

So, a friend of mine just introduced me to the wonder world that is known as pineapple juice and its ability to mask liquor utterly and completely. Im a huge fan of pineapples and we will just say I made the ultimate hunch punch last night. It was a grand night of memories I will never recall.

pineapple/grapefruit juice is good too. I'll have to give that Surfer on Acid a try.

And there's another combination juice that worked great...I think it was white peach/grape? And if you want something a little stronger than your standard Jaegerbomb, mix an entire can of grape NOS with however much vodka suits your taste (not something I'd recommend doing very often, and definitely don't have more than one in a night, but it tastes really good. not for those with low caffeine tolerance).

My first college homecoming as an alumni is coming up in 2 weeks, can't wait.

I had some sort of blueberry/pomegranate juice that went quite well with vodka.
I also learned it turned all the contents of my stomach purple, and the five feet of floor infront of my toilet.
