Turning 22 is the worst. Nothing cool about turning 22. Nothing cool about any birthdays after 22 until you turn 55 and get senior discounts.

25 is kind of nice. You at least get a little bit of a cut on your insurance.

I'm being Wayne and my buddy is being Garth. We can quote the whole movie so this will be fun. Every time we're walking on the street it will be skipping rapidly chanting, "We got 5000 dollars!"

So I spent last night in the hospital. Somehow managed to pinch a nerve in my spine reaching to get something out of a cabinet. Sharp pain shot right through my spine, then my entire body went numb for 15 seconds, kind of like hitting a funny bone but all over. That faded, but every muscle on my back and sides completely locked up. I could move my legs/arms/neck fine, but if I tried to sit up or roll over it just tensed up even more and I couldn't breathe.

Xrays didn't show anything and nobody gave me a good explanation of what would have caused it, but they gave me diazepam and some pain killer injection. Not sure what pain killer, it was an injection in my leg and to be honest all it did was make my leg cramp up. But the diazepam worked and today it just feels like a really bad cramp but I can actually move around.

I will say that laying flat on the floor and physically not being able to get up is the worst feeling.

Be careful till you are fully healed, my wife did something similar to that and she ended up having to get a disc replaced in her lower back. NOT a fun thing and she still isn't 100% after 2 years.

My back is one of the few things, if not the only thing I've never really injured before. And my first thoughts were "God I hope I don't need surgery."

I doubt back surgery is very common at age 22, but then again meniscus repair at age 11 doesn't happen very often either. But I should be fine, just feels really tight and sore today. Need to get some Shaq strength icy hot.

Dow 33 for shifter cables/bushings/ball joints = win. Trying to access said parts on vehicle designed by people with tiny hands = fail.

I spent a whole day on an alternator replacement for a Civic because of that. It was the worst thing ever.

I'm in Maryland right now. I went to the Rally To Restore Sanity. It was amazing.

Replaced fluids and worn rubber items on a Corolla yesterday, also did some brake work. There is infinitely more room under that hood. Of course, I managed to drop a bolt behind the motor and it got caught in the header heat shield, which was pretty much the only place impossible to get to.

After driving that Corolla around a bit to make sure everything was in order, it made me appreciate my Civic even more. Night and day difference between two equally priced cars.

Oh and WELCOME TO MARYLAND
