Yeah it's a 2006 Si. No VSA but it has all the other goodies.
And I hate shopping for cars too, but I've found it drives car dealers crazy when you know a lot about cars when shopping for a used one. Noticed it pulling to the right when I test drove it, asked for them to do an alignment and show me the print out, it was misaligned. And asked to check the ECU for recorded engine over speed, which the sales guy didn't even know was possible.
I plan on bringing it in next month, the wiper reservoir is missing a snap clip and leaks if you fill it all the way, and their is a TSB for replacing 1st-3rd gear sets that has never been performed on this car, so I'll have them do that. Yay warranty. Other than that, car looks and drives like new.

You can't fight zombies with only an AR.

I'm quite happy with it. Not many cars on the market with the same features for the price of an Si. Only reason I think there aren't more of them around is they don't make an automatic.

I have a tire iron and rambo knife under the trunk floor. I'd stash a .45 is the console, but I'd get locked up for that in MD. Plus, zombie killin really comes down to improvisation.

Do you want a rimfire or centerfire, what is your budget?

Sounds like you need a .22 rifle. Ruger makes a .22 level action.. Ruger makes nice guns. So does Marlin, but Marlin are a little cheaper. They are still good though.

Yea, I dont know much about guns but my Dad used to hunt and we were talking about one of his guns today. I was kinda shocked to hear how relatively inexpensive firearms are. It kind of ticked me off when I realized how much more replica ones that shoot little balls of paint are, haha.

Very few firearms in 2010 go for under 300 dollars. Mosins, carcanos, some lee enfields and mausers, and factory made budget bolt guns for hunting are about the only deals these days.

If you want a levergun, my best bet to you is a marlin golden 39A in 22LR if you want the best, or a henry. The marlin would be better because its a full sized rifle, but will be twice the cost. If you want something you can hunt with, that is relatively cheap to shoot then I would recommend a mosin. I am a military surplus firearms collector and have several mosins of different variants, country, and markings. If you need any help with them I can help. You will need to really do your research on mosins before you jump into buying one though. Mostly just need to learn about cleaning cosmoline off, which is very simple if you can go to the hardware store and buy a can of mineral spirits.

Sorry to jump in here, but where would be the best place to purchase a Mosin? I'm contemplating buying a rifle because I want something to shoot and I have to wait a year before I can buy a Glock.

.22 LR is going to be by far the cheapest way to go, but it was never much fun to shoot from a rifle IMO. Not much more bang than an air gun. Fun for target shooting with a Ruger MkII pistol though.
.22 magnums are a little more exciting while still being somewhat affordable. Good for target shooting out to 100yds and critter hunting. Any centerfire ammo will eat up your wallet unless you buy bulk surplus/reloads.
But yeah, guns themselves are in the same price ranges as high end paintball guns. $300-1200 for most, save some newer piston AR's and target rifles and such.

Online would be the cheapest, because most gunshops price gouge like crazy but the only problem with buying online is if you don't have a C&RFFL03 or an FFL01, you need to go through an FFL. You'll need to call gunshops if you want to order online and find out what their transfer fee is, if they even do transfers and find out how to do it. The only problem, if you pay 89 dollars for a mosin and then have to pay 50 dollars for a transfer fee then you have defeated the purpose. aimsurplus is the best place, otherwise call around to your local gunshops and see if they sell mosins and military surplus, and what they charge. Expect to pay locally anywhere from 90-150. Anything over that and I wouldn't do it.
All of my rimfires. I'm pretty sure I haven't gotten any new ones since that picture... idk. It's hard to keep track when you get as many as I do so fast.

My milsurps sans one mosin. I acquired a 1933 tula 91/30 doubled dated and MO marked, re-dated in 1951.
