Say Goodbye!
I know, this isn't cocker related... BUT... I figured that I kind of felt like a family member and all and I just HAD to say buh bye to everyone here. As some of you know, I ship out for boot camp tomorrow and after that I have 4 months of advanced training. The Army is going to turn me into one of those soldier dudes (yeah right ) so they want me to go to a boot camp and all that other fun jibberish. Anyhoo... buh bye!

My MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) is helicopter mechanics with 67U working on the chanuk helicopters. You know... those big choppers with 2 engines, one in front and one in the back. I don't think I'll bunker any talibans but I can always fix the choppers that do.

I know I will, I have a contract that lists all of the details. One of the reasons I went with the Army over the Marines is because with the Army you can choose your job and you get a contract saying what you are doing and how lond you are doing it for. With the Marines you can request your job and the Marine councelors can "try" to get you what you want AFTER you have already sworn in and gone through boot camp. With the Army I have everything guaranteed in black and white.

Well, I'm glad we finally played together at MTP man; you kicked my arse pretty hard that day (but I had a tourney the day before! That's my excuse....pretty bad huh ) and that Angel was pretty nice. You'll have to shoot my Trix when you get back...though I doubt that I'll still have it
Have fun and be safe, bro.

Dann, Excuses are like ummm... you know the story.
Hopefully you still have the trix, the one I shot on Sunday was really nice!
Oh, and tell your team mate (not sure which one) that I said thanks! One of them shot me in the nuts! I have never been shot in the nuts before, I slowly walked to the side line and just kneeled down for about 5 minuts until the game was over. It was very uncomfortable!

Don't worry, after boot camp, you'll have plenty of time to play paintball. Just as long as you're near a pb field somewhere and when you're not deployed that is. We'll be seeing you in a couple months.
FYI, the chopper is called the Chinook. As in the Native American tribe. Oh, and watch those chopper blades, those puppies can dip really low...

Chinooks are used by the Army, and Air Force I believe. Marines and the Navy use Seaknights, which are similar, but not the same. Anyways, be safe, and for the sake of all our helicopter pilots, make sure those Jesus Nuts are locked on tight (Once your out of advanced, you'll know what I'm talking about) !

Chinooks... however they're spelled
The Army uses more of the chinooks than any other hilo other than the black hawk. The chinooks are the Army's main supply hilo. They are also the fastest aside from the Apache.
I'm anxious to leave for BCT though. Tomorrow at 2:15 pm I leave to the recruiters, then from there they take me to the MEPS in Nashville. I'll spend the night at a hotel and ship out on Wednesday for Fort Jackson and start my boot camp. Yea buddy!!!

But when I'm back it won't be just the ol' Jon Cooper... it will be Pvt. J. Cooper or something like that. I'll have to tell the drill sargeant that my paintball gun can shoot faster than the M16 rifle and see what he says...

I'm not worried about doing pushups, I'm probably going to be doing atleast 1,000 pushups in the first week of boot camp anyways. Throughout the 9 weeks I'll probably do atleast 20,000 pushups...
