Slider Shorts...will they protect my buddies?

Hay guys, Ive been hearin some nasty stories about guys gettin hit in the family jewels, and I want to get some protection but dont want a bulky cup or a puffy towel in my pants, so I was considerin gettin some slider shorts, but does the soft cup in them do the job? I lookin for answers from peeps who own them and preferably have takin a shot there in em. Thanks! (LOL this is a helluva post for the New Year, LOL) Peace!

I've never worn the Slider Shorts, but from what I've seen, the padding looks like it would stop any permanent damage and probably lessen the pain, but it doesn't look like something that you could take a shot in the nads with and not realize it.

yea havein used the shorts i say the soft cup works pretty well. at my field we have a very large open field taht noobs like to long ball on. one game we let tehm have full auto and quite a large amount of paint came towards us off the break. well a couple balls ended up next to mine... and i bearly felt anything. im sure if u got shot up close i would soften the shot but it would still hurt you for a long while
