OK, I've seen quite a few talon mod threads, and I am SURE that there are many talon owners out there. Specter, your mod questions are answered in here. In response to this, I have made this informational thread.
So here goes the mods I have done:
1.) Barrel mod:
Materials needed: Talon, A barrel you don’t use, index card/stiff paper, electrical tape.
This is really easy. Take an index card or stiff paper and cut a 3x6' strip. Now you are going to make a sleeve. Take your talon and your piece of paper; start to wrap the paper around the last 3/4' of the talons barrel. (NOTE: make a slight cone shape with the paper sleeve, with the smaller end being on the end of the talons barrel. You will want to make two wraps with the paper as well.) Then tape the papers' seams shut, and tape the paper to the talon. Next, take your dust-laden barrel and insert it into the sleeve. (You may need to screw it in just like you would with the gun it came from.) Once barrel is in sleeve, tape well. (NOTE: do not make the first few wraps of the tape super tight, that may shift the position of the barrel causing a massive headache due to ball breaks which WILL NOT shoot clean. You must now take the whole thing apart you lucky dog

) Then, my friend, you are done. Now go shoot one of your friends with a $2k gun with your talon that cost you one percent the cost of his gun.
2.) Scope: not much to say here. But if you need to ask how to do this one, you have no business with a paintball gun, or sharp objects for that matter.
OK, now for the ones I am thinking of doing, that I did not see on any web sites, or in the pic thread:
Assault style pump arm:
Materials needed: Handle from a painting roller, preferably one with molded finger groove thingies. Or anything else you might have handy. super glue, electrical tape. and of course, a talon.
Take your painting roller, and separate the handle from the roller. Then take the handle or whatever you have and with some super glue, tape, and a little Mac Guyver know-how, attach the handle to the pump arm solidly, (in a vertical postion in the middle of the pump arm.) and you are done.
Double Trigger:
Materials needed: talon, plastic double trigger, super glue, hack saw blade, or anything you can use to cut through the trigger guard.
Study the movement of your trigger. See how far it goes back when fully depressed? Good. Now mark that spot. Now if you look on the side of the trigger guard that is attached to the grip, (Assuming you have a talon ghost. If not, you're on your own.) see where the trigger guard turns to solid plastic; just ahead of the hollow cavity in the grip. Cut in front of the hollow, so when you’re done, there is no hole dirt can get in from. Then cut the other end of the trigger guard (The vertical part) in the same fashion. Ok, now that the trigger guard is off we can put the double trigger on. Take the double trigger, remove any springs metal pieces, ect. (<--M98 double trigger owners, this is you) File away slowly the back end and top of the double trigger, until the backside of the index finger position on the D.T., will fit flush with the front side of the trigger on your talon. Also, the only thing that should be left of the D.T. are the finger grooves. Take off/file off all the atachment parts and excess plastic. Then put some glue on the back of the double trigger, and press onto the front of the talon trigger, and let dry.
(I think if you do the assault pump arm, and the DT, you might be able to get like two-three BPS, depending on how quick you are.)
I have no pics of the last two mods because I haven’t done them yet. I am not sure if I am, I like the way my talon looks now, it's simple and clean. But...if I ever get bored............
I hope this helps you guys with some ideas. Have fun,
Mimos
