My finally completed computer! *PICS*
Not really, its not done yet, just a few things im getting for xmas (another 512mb or ram, and a SB audigy ZS), and then a new PSU, but who cares.
Anyway specs are:
P4 3.0GHz Prescott
ASUS P4S800 mobo
200Gig Seagate HDD
512mb pc3200 PQI Memory
Geforce 6800 (128mb vanilla version)
Yamaha cd burner
No name 430 watt PSU
Logisys UV blue acylic case
Keep in mind that this is the first computer I ever built and there are some crappy choices i made (intel, no SATA, agp video, ext...)
In total I spent about 1200$, and took me a year to save up on this crappy paper boys pay.
PICS: (click to inlarge)
Aww, how cute...
Now shes giving me the evil eye...
Video card...
My front fan. Look at he usb and audio, a crack. Thats how weak acrylic is.
COU, RAM, video card...
The whole side...
The fans are not LED, I have a Logisys LED laselight shining on them...
Nice ant' it?
Blurry, but good pic none the less... The green led on thwe sidedoesnt show up for some reason here..

She used to be really fat, but then she lost alot, and now she has alot of excess skin...
For anyone wondering, the computer on the left is my parents... AMD K6 450Mhz, 256mb ram, 30 gig HDD... And the diskman is attached to my stereo system which was playing really loud, so the cat was really on edge with all the noise.

I <3 your case. I wanted one of those, but never got around to ordering one.
You'll like the 6800.

Good stuff man!
I actually have a case just like that still in storage. I won it in a gallery contest that I submited my computer in....haven't decided what I'm going to do with it yet though lol
One thing I would like to suggest...if you get some time in the future, try to either:
-sleeve the wires
-or tidy them up/hide them
They don't look bad...but extra detail and time spent on them will definnitely add to the hotness.

I recently built a new rec PC... I'll get the pics up in a bit.
Specs:
-Abit AN8 Ultra? I think... It just like the Fatal1ty board, But no front panel, No noisy Chipset fans, And no fancy lights.
-Athlon 64 3200 Overlclocked to 2.6 Ghz (%30 Overlclock)
-4x256MB Kingston Value RAM, Oc'd from 333mhz to 396mhz
-XFX Geforce 6800GT 256MB. Overlcoked to 1.05 Ghz Memory speed, 6.5 Ghz core speed. (On a stock heatsink!)
-80GB Seagate Barracuda (OS drive, Running Win XP Pro, Xandros (Debian) Linux, And Gentoo Linux)
-200GB Seagate Barracuda (File drive)
-Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS 7.1
-Aspire 520w PSU
My cooling Setup:
-Thermalright XP-90- AWESOME. Outperforms entry level liquid cooling systems.
-60mm fan placed over Ram with Heatsinks... Gets the Mem Temp down by about 10C
-92mm Zalman Silent fan on the CPU cooler.
-120mm fan in back, It's a nice one, But i dont remember the model... Dead silent and powerfull though.
-80mm in front
-80mm on the side
-80mm in the top
-80mm fans in the front, back, and top of PSU.
-Stock Video Cooler, Works fine.
-Abit Q-OTES heatpipe system cools the Chipset, Total overkill... Which is great.

Case Front (Closed)

Aspire 520W Power Supply... Oooooo.... Glowy.

Front of Case, With panel open. In view:
Top- Plextor 16X DVD-RW
Middle-Aerocool Gatewatch fan controller, Works great, automatic control.
Bottom-"Ultimate hard drive cooler". Cost $16, got it on sale for $6.99. What the hell, It looks cool.

I put some other pictures in just for the Hell of it. This is my Bawls lamp, Custom Made. My Bawls hookah is way cooler though.

The Case, Terrible picture...

Mike Wasowski. 8 Months old. Dumb as hell... But I love my kitty.
And just because I accidentally uploded them, A picture from a small party I had (Sorry, This is as scandelous as I'm willing to disclose).

Two cases of Bawls... $98.63
Ciroc Vodka... $38.99
Mont'e Raspberry Liquer... $16.99
Enjoying it all with 5 friends and 3 Blockbuster DVDs... Priceless.
And the whole Raspberry Vodka + Bawls thing is highly recommended.

Nice system.
I hate the ricer look though. Also if you want you can get a CT479 adapter, and run a PM on the mobo. They overclock very well.

Ill do that when I get some rounded IDE cables, and one of those Ultra x connect PSUs.
Kevinbo, sweet computer, anyone can tell that you had bigger budget than me. I mean, liquid cooling, 6800GT, two HDD's...
Im still pissed as hell that around the front usb and audio is cracked... It's not too noticeable in the pics, but it looks like hell in person.

He doesn't have liquid cooling. And if he did I would expect to see the Venice of his at 2.8ghz.
So whos up for making a general computing thread? Sticky maybe?

Oops, i misread it. He sais It out preforms entry level liquid cooling setups...
Instead of a computing sticky, how about a subform. A few mods in that comments and questions forum thought it was a good idea, but nothnig was done.

Whoa, hold your horses, one thing at a time! Im gonna be getting some rounded ide cables, and a ultra x connect (with the sleeved wires). I couldnt afford some UV lights right away, but theyre coming. Dont worry, i hate cable clutter too, you should hear me nag to my friend about his. You cant see an inch of his mobo theres so many cables. If you had 9 screw to take out to get the side pannel off, you wouldnt be too anxcious to clean it up, knowing in a few weeks youll have to open it up again to put some stuff in.

Not a fan.
-Not enough ram.
-vanilla 6800 = 12 pipelines(...or was it only 8?) = lose
-no name psu = lose
-acrylic case = lose Acrylic sucks at conducting heat.

It runs pretty cool, not too bad.
Idle:
Air in the case 23C
CPU 43C
GPU 51C
HDD 24C
Under load:
air: 24C
CPU 53C
GPU 56C
HDD 25C
Shadow, if you read anything, you could have found the awnser to two of your comments.
1. Not enough RAM... Im getting more on the 25th, making it an even gig.
2. Vanilla 6800=12 pipelines+4 unlocked=16 pielines which=half life 2 lost coast on high.
3.no name PSU... Im getting a new one shortly after xmas for the 3rd time.
4. Acrylic sucks at conducting heat... = WHO CARES? Look at those temps
If you didnt read anything, I can run Half life 2 lost coast with everythnig on high with my current setup, with a constant 40fps, and the occasional 70fps when staring at a wall. so my vanilla 6800=half decent for only 300$ CAD. And remember, your the one who helped me pick this over a 256mb 6600, and a 128mb 6600GT.
