So, in honor of the classic
OT thread. OT has decided to embark on another adventure to the great state of Oregon (A.K.A. Trumby land)
Passengers are: Me, Axem Aardvark, Goofeigh, Trophy, and xtreme
Before we set off, we bought:
12 Oxen
20 sets of Clothing
1200 bullets
6 spare parts (various)
and 900 pounds of food
April 1st, 1948: We leave Independence, Missouri with all off our rations on
April 1, 1848.
April 7, 1948: We have reached the kansas river crossing. Me (we) being a fool(s) attempt to ford the river. We lost Goofeigh!
April 12: we've reached the blue river crossing and changed our ration intake to meager. We tried to ford the stupid river, and lost five oxen. D'oh!
April 13: Broken wheel. NP.
April 18: We've reached fort kearney.
April 21: Troph is bitten by a snake!
April 22: Xtreme has a Broken arm!
April 24: we took the wrong trail
April 28: We decide to hunt. (twice, but to no avail. Stupid rabbits.)
May 1st: Troph is good again!
May 2nd: Blizzard. (WTF?)
May 9: We've reached Chimney rock.
May 11: Xtreme was bitten by a Snake.
May 16: Xtreme was bitten by another snake. Poor Xtreme.
May 18: Xtreme has broken his leg, Axem got the Measles, and we've reached fort laramie.
May 24: We've rested for 5 days and traded a Wagon tongue for extra food.
May 26: Axem is well again.
May 28: Xtreme broke his other leg!
June 1: Xtreme died. (Finally.)
June 3: No more grass for the oxen, I hunt and take in 1919 pounds of food, but only take 200.
June 15: We've reached Independence Rock.
June 17: Thief stole food.
June 18: Bad water.
June 19: Troph has the Measles.
June 27: Troph is well again.
June 30: We've reached the south pass. We trade some bullets for food. We also reached Fort Bridger.
July 5: We rest for 5 days.
July 27: We've reached the Green River crossing and make it across safely.
July 28: Troph is bitten by a snake.
August 6: Troph is well again.
August 7: Axem is bitten by a snake.
August 11: Troph has a fever.
August 15: We've reached Soda Springs and trade wagon crap for food.
August 17: Axem is better
August 19: Troph is better
August 23: Axem is exhausted.
August 26: An ox is sick
August 27: We've reached fort hall. I trade some Bullets for food.
September 1: Axem is better.
September 3: Axem gets the Measles.
September 8: Trail is impassable.
September 15: An ox died.
September 16: We decide to hunt and bring back 200 pounds of food
I trade some food for an extra axle.
September 17: Trophy is sick with Typhoid Fever.
September 19: We've reached the Snake river crossing. We get an indian to help us across.
September 21: I hunt and bring back over 2500 pounds of food and only take 200.
September 25: Troph is well again.
October 2: Axem is sick with Typhoid fever.
October 3: We've reached fort Boise. We rest for 5 days.
October 11: Axem has died of Thypoid fever.
October 15: An ox is sick
October 16: Trophy has been bitten by a snake.
October 24: Troph is well again and we've reached the blue mountains. We head to Fort Walla Walla.
October 25: Troph is bitten again.
October 31: We reach fort Walla Walla. We rest for 5 days.
November 3: Troph is well again.
November 18: We arrive in Oregon! omg yay! Too bad we have a bad score of 2264.
