too high for a det....unless you didn't want to shoot over 250 fps
You would have to go lp to make that reg work.
or...
As much as I love my det, I would actually recomend a palmer over it....omni pressure and omni gas....The det will work with CO2, but Could have problems in the long run...Plus the are only a couple dollars more.

Soccer a det will work great with piranhas, hint the new evo models COME with it.
Big you really dont understand what your talking about. EDIT- You have a det on your gun max output it has is 500psi, do you even know what your gun is running at?
I can run my evo at 200 psi and shoot 250 easy with no recock problems. The gti's will run just the same as the evos.

The EVO has a higher flowing stock valve than the GTI.
But if you bought a valve (or drilled your stock one) the detonator should work fine.

Yes the valve works great. Ive had a gti before with a reg on it, it ran great under 500psi. Obviously the det runs good with lower model piranhas or people wouldnt have one on there gun.

well I guess its owning stick time
pbboy37....first and foremost! Before you correct someone make darn certain that you are correct before you do....Because if you are mistaken it insults them and makes you look like an idiot. Second before you tell someone they have no idea what they are talking about you might wany to check out who you are talking to. if it is some noob then you might be right, but if they have some experience and have a long history of providing other members of this forum with quality technical assistance. Then you might want to rethink it. A good indicator of this is by looking at their setup.
Now on to the point where you are wrong and stuck your foot in your mouth!
EVO's have a high flow valve in them that allow them to run at low pressure.....GTI's do NOT!!! they are available from Boss for $18 and probable a few other places too. A det will work on hp piranhas, but more than likely it will no be able to go higher than 260 fps...That was the max my G3 got with the spings modified....before I changed out to a lp valve. I hope that this information has been useful to you and that you will learn to think before you post.

Yes i had a gti before i know how they run. Your post had no significance what so ever. If you have a regulator on one, first off it doesnt have to run at 850. The pressure can be lowered to 500-600 and work fine.

Even if I didn't trust BBF I'd trust TheBoss from boss paintball products and he's saying the R6 valve (shared with the GTI) is the only thing preventing you from using a low pressure reg on a fish. I'm definitely inclined to believe him more than you.

Thanks yobonedaddy
pbboy....EXACTLY it will work as low as 500-600....closer to 600. A Det has a range of 1-500....simple math here.
