Guns, Weeee!!
Ok, I'm pretty happy about this. But before I tell you this story I must tell you a different one. My cousin, who was in the Navy. He was medically discharged because he was hit in the head with a bat before he entered. His eyes were messed up because of that. Ok now to the story about guns. Because he was in the Navy he met a guy who has a lot of guns. He has a REAL M16, not an AR15 (ya I know it's the size of an M4.) Well he has an M16, AK47, 45 Magnum, 357 Magnum, and some other things that my cousin hasn't told me about yet. I think that I will be able to go over there next weekend so that I can shoot some guns with him and hang out. He is in San Diego filling out some papers then he will be able to hang out with me. Ok this is a little random but anyone done something like this that they want to talk about.

My dad has a friend that he works with that it the Sniper for the San Diego County Sheriffs Deputy SED team, His primary rifle is a camoflagued Remington M700, secondary is a M14, he also had an MP5, M4, and 5 different pistols. Hes owrking out a date so that he can get me down the the County Sheriffs range so that I can shoot them. (there SED members have unlimited ammo).

my uncle has a swat edition M4, a semi-auto military shotgun, like 8 differnt handguns, a mac-10, and a sniper rifle. He also has nightvision goggles, a gasmask and silencers among other things. He was in the marines for ahwile and then he was on the SWAT team.

M16 is just the military designation for the AR15. Its the same rifle. The only difference is that the military ones have different fire control groups for burst and full auto. You can also buy them and install them on your AR15's too if you have a Class III weapons license. Also, there is no such round as a .45 magnum. Your probably referring to either the .450 Winchester Magnum, .44 Remington Magnum, or .45 ACP and it was just a simple mistake.

Ok some of you may not belive this, I didnt at first but
A friend of mine from Virginia thats a bit older (late 30's) has been working under the same guy for 20 years. They are like Brothers. Well, his bosses brother has gone to prison because he was apparently something like a grandmaster dragon or something of that sort of the KKK. Well, He didnt want the house so he gace it to my friend for free with everything inside it, he just has to pay the bills. This house is HUGE, something like 15 bedrooms. On top of that, guns guns guns guns guns. THere are 3 vault sized safes full of guns. I am talking around a thousand ranging from old rusty pieces of crap to glocks and mp5's. H&K are not cheap. I will get some pics when I visit in April and he says after he makes a list of all of them, he is going to start selling most of them on eBay and such.
Awesome Sauce
Sorry for any typos, I am super excited.

I'm confused, your brother was struck by bat that screwed up his vision. Then enetered the Navy, but after being in already now he is getting a medical discharge? That makes no sense.
Having assault style or automatic weapons is not a major deal. It is more a case of not being a scum bag, paying some ATFB tax stamps, and laying some money down.
Oh, and you cannot sell firearms on ebay anymore and have not been able to do so for sometime.

Ok, he was hit with a bat like a year before he went into the navy. He felt fine and all but after he was in for about half a year or so they found out that he was hit with a bat. They tested his eyes and he wasn't up to standards, so he was medically discharged.
This is SOOOO cool. My great uncle, who died recently (sadly). He got a totally free scholorship to Westpoint, there he graduated number 3 or so in like 1953. One of his best friends from childhood grew up to be the MOST DECORATED NAVAL OFFICER IN ALL OF HISTORY. His other friend grew up to be like the agricultural adviser of the president. Sadly my great uncle went to Korea right after he got out of Westpoint, he was tortured and was never the same. My grandpa was also the head of the Illinois state police, but he wasn't into it so he went down to a major.

Sry for double post but.
No the AR15 is the size of an M4, I know my friends has one. The difference is the firing modes, obviously. The other difference is the barrel. The AR15 has rifling every 9 inches while the M4 has rifling every 7 or 5 inches. So because of that the M4 is more accurate than the AR15.

Ok, listen to Teamcompound or me...
"AR-15" is a catch-all name for Civilian M16 style rifles. There is not a specific "AR-15" you can buy, aside from Colts, and I strongly doubt he has a Colt.
The AK is the same- There was a Russian Ak-47, standard, but I can also call many things AKs- WASRs, Veprs, SARs, etc.
Team- There is such a thing as .45 Winchester Magnum, but its pretty uncommon. A company made M1 Carbine replicas in that caliber.
My Firearms are not Tactical and black, but I own a Winchester 1200, Mosin 91/30 ('42 Izvhesk) and a '42 Fazarkley Enfied no.4 im working on restoring.
He owns all this in San Diego? I'd be peeping out my windows for ATF agents if I was him. You cant own crap in California.

My aunt's boyfriend has a bunch of guns. Benelli M1 (Yes, it's pistol grip and automatic shotgun), a few Glocks (.45 with OD Green finish and a 9mm with black finish), and some other stuff like a few Barrettas. That's all I know he has though.

I'm pretty sure he has a colt AR15. I don't really know the whole technicalities of it but he told me it was a real AR15. Oh and the AK47 he has is not a russian AK. It is one of those cheap African made ones.

I want to get into twist rate and accuracy, however I do not have enough time.
The abbreviated version.
Twist rate: The number of inches of barrel length in which the rifling makes one complete revolution.
EX: 1x7 the rifling make one complete revolution in every 7 inches of barrel length.
EX: 1X9 one revolution in every 9 inches of barrel length. If a barrel is 18" the rifling will make 2 complete revolutions.
Twist rate in and of itself does not make a weapon accurate. Twist rate only indicates the heaviest bullet in that specific calibre that the weapon will stabilize. The faster the twist rate the heavier a bullet that can be fired and stabilized from that weapon.
For example lets look at the .223 1X12 twist rate will in general only effectively stabilize a bullet up to 55gr in weight. A 1X9 will stabilize up to 69gr. A 1X7 will stabilize up to an 80gr. bullet. A1X6 will stabilize up to 90gr.
The heavier the bullet is the longer it is. To gain extra weight the bullet must be made longer seeing that the diameter must stay the same, in this case .224". The longer the bullet the faster it must rotate to keep it stable in flight. If an 80gr bullet is fired from a 1X9 twist, it will begin to yaw soon after leaves the barrel. The more it moves of it's axis the the less stable it becomes and then it just tumbles down range.
It is backwards compatable. a 1X7 twist will stabilize anything 80gr and lighter. For example. I have been working on shooting 40gr bullets out of my 1X7 match rifle. My goal is to shoot them at 4000fps. At that speed the bullet will be roughly rotating at 500,000 rpms. It has been know that shooting these light bullets at 4000 fps or faster will actually make the bullet rotate apart after it leaves the barrel. In essence over stabilization.
With that said, have fun shooting the guns. Be safe but have fun. I want a report when you get back. Pics also.

 Very good, Flamethrower!
Also please note the "size" of the weapon is not absolutely designated by the AR, M4, M16, names. M16 is a rifle, a M4 is a carbine, AR's can be anything -pistols, SBR's, carbines, rifles! The parts are interchangable and once you alter the buttstocks and barrel lengths it gets all screwed up. Obviosuly the real difference between the miliatry M versions and civilian AR versions are the fire modes, but even that line can be crossed!
What is in a name?
