Question about Freestyle 7 and 8's....

Thanks for all of the input on the other thread. I guess I have set myself up to get a freestyle now. But my question is this - what's the difference between a FS7 and FS8

I know the 8 is newer, and fromt he product reviews is a little lighter, more efficient and such.
Does anyone know how much more efficient?
Is there a major difference in their performance?
Is it worth the extra money to get the FS8 over the 7?

Thanks again for past and future input

An upgraded fs7 can get about 1200 rounds + out of a 68/45, a stock fs8 can get 1200-1400 round out of the same tank. Keep in mind that an upgraded fs7 mean that it have to have the hr1 mod which hawk does not offer any more. In the long run the fs8 is worth more than a fs7, and you should try to get an fs8. The Manufacture advertise price is 750, and the real price is much lower. PM me if you don't know the price, even though everyone else have been posting about it. As for major difference, not much, the fs8 seem to be lighter and shoot a lot more smoother, but then i didn't get the chance to try it in a real tournament.

the main difference is the efficiency, w/ a stock bolt on the 7 you can get around 1000 off a 68/45(thats what i got), and w/ the 8 you can get around 1400. Other than that there are almost unnoticeable differences. Read the manuals, and pbnation stickies before you air up.

yep, but you would only get a few hundred shots out of that tank. if you have a nice gun, you need a nice hopper and tank for it too, you shouldnt cheap out on the accessories. I understand the desire to save money, but a 45/45 or 68/45 is really the optimum choice.

well $30 is pretty cheap for one. you could probably sell it for $50+ how much exactly depends on age, condition, hydro, and who you sell it to (noob factor)

Not to steal the thread, but, lawnboi, my friend just bought a ND FS7 w/HR1 bolt and other things. What should he use for lube? He's unsure as to what. (I said dow33)

^^^^ yea superlube, you can call icd and get it, or get it off the company that makes its website, but it will cost you from there. I would give icd a call, and order some from them.

buy super lube from ace hardware. ICD use the oil kind. Radioshack have the gel on sale right now if you need some for a bushmaster.
