***Did yall miss me? 56k=life without parole***
well if yall didnt notice ive been gone for the past 2 weeks down to Huntsville, Texas for the sergeants academy for the texas department of criminal justice. we had a fun time. lots of new information for us sgts. Huntsville is the heart of the texas prison system. the 'walls' unit was the first prison in texas and still operating today as the execution unit. enjoy the pics.

where our class is

3 of our captians

everyone except me smokes

class

i love toothpicks

senario training

the very building in which bonnie and clyde helped 2 inmates escape from which resulted in the death of an officer.

welcome to the big house

the walls unit has a 20 ft brick wall surrounding its interals. and thats one of 6 armed pickets.

entering the unit. these brass bars are polished everyday by inmates.

this is the VERY FIRST prison cell in texas. how would you like to spend 20 yrs in that hole?

the original death row cells. today the death row inmates are housed at the Polunsky unit and sent to the walls unit for execution.

this man is someone you do not want to mess with. he is the warden of teh walls unit. and yes, taht is the execution bed that we still use today for every offender put to death.

get ready to laugh.... one of the officers locked the keys in the state van so they brought an inmate out to break into it!

heres the texas prison museum open to the public. if you are ever in hustville, its a must see.

this is our fallen officer's monument.

ol' sparky. this was used before we had lethal injection.

bonnie and clyde's freakin sweet .45

just a few of the contraband items found in prisons. inmates can make anything out of anything.

firearms that the agency has used throughout its history. currently we use s&w 357, rem 870, and colt ar-15. weapons we are getting in the near future- glock 357, and the pepperball gun. fun

restraints and punishing instruments from back in the day.

lethal injection

this is what an inmates cell looks like today.
well thank yall for veiwing and hope this educates you a little about the Texas department of criminal justice.

It looks nicer then in the cartoons...
Though I like the Bonnie ad Clyde pistol and the part with the inmate and the van as funny.
The pictures are interesting.

We have pepperball guns in our local prison I know for a fact. My friends father is a guard and a while back he was prosecuted for cruelty to inmates. He was never convicted because he never did anything wrong.
Basically the inmate decided not to go back to his cell and was getting hostile. My friends father decided to shoot him once with the pepperball gun, he just sat there and got even angrier, he then shot him 2 more times and he did nothing, got even angrier and approaced my friends father. My friends father took the gun and wacked him with it and knocked him unconcious.
lol..we had quite the laugh over that, after it was all said and done. If you knew the man it would be somewhat funnier too(my friends father, not the inmate)

Yeah, those are exactly the kind of people suited to working with people, the ones that laugh about beating people.
On Topic: Brandon, I went back to a hardtail. I need the lethal injection.

You twist and mangle what I say in everyway.
His dad wasnt the one laughing. We were laughing about it this morning at breakfast.
You're so critical that you act like an idiot sometimes zed.

Brandon, I have a question for you. Why do you call them "inmates?" They're convicts, if they were an "inmate", that would mean that theyre insane. When they get out, wont they be called "ex-cons" and not "ex-inmates?"

the actual name for them is offender. offender, inmate, convict, piece of ****, its all the same. but using the name offender is more professional.

TP and flip flops are contraband? The flip flips I could see as an impromptu weapon, but TP?

those items such as shower shoes, and tp, were taken up because they had contraband concealed in them. flip flops had a shank, boots had tattoo gun, and tp had paper money inside.

So why didn't they just take what was in them?
Sometimes I really worry about some people...especially since there is only one boot in there...
