That setup might not be for everyone, like allot of people really can't tunr the Madman valve very well and they would be better of with a NDZ. Personally....Tornado Valve>Madman but no one really wants to spend 60dollars on a valve. Or how not everyone may want a drop some people have longer arms etc...
I don't understand how half backing it and giving it a nice paintjob will make it any better of a competitor.

Half backing will reduce weight, a paintjob will keep $300+ marker owners from talking mess . Also, why not go and do it if you can afford close to or over $400 on parts anyway?

It can't possibly make it THAT much lighter. The only advantage would be using top cocking bolts but there are plenty of bolts that are rear besides most people do a horrible job half backing it.
Assuming it was done nicely you will get major props from myself and others here but that's allot of money to spend on a Spyder you could have bought a nicer gun.
On a Side note
The sweetspot trigger sucks donkeys. The SunDragon Triggers are much better.

There's a few different mindsets about what to do with your money and marker...
Type 1) You don't see the point in "wasting" time and money and hassle in upgrading when you can buy a waaay better marker for the same price.
Type 2) You are used to being broke all the time and can only afford upgrades every once in a blue moon, so you decide to take your Spyder to the max over the course of a year or longer instead of quit paintball for a long time to save up.
Type 3) You just like to tinker and never bother really with anything high-end, but like to create results yourself and are proud of your accomplishments.
Type 4) You're used to getting trashed for having a Spyder by (only the cocky, this doesn't apply to all) Ion and other $200+ EP marker owners, and are out to set a point and put them to shame by eliminating them all the time with your "crappy" Spyder.
Type 4 is often a small thing almost like a pet peeve associated with one of the other types.
I'm a Type 2 with that little Type 4 pet peeve mixed in. .

I hardly actually get out to play paintball. I'm always getting these new parts and modifying every little thing on my gun. I upgrade my gun so much so I can stay away from those damn videogames. I still haven't shot the gun since I got the J&J, lol.

I agree. Upgrading that much on a blowback is crazy. But if your personal preference, by all means, do what you like. But money is best spent on a new marker. At least buy upgrades that are interchangable; barrel, reg, hopper, etc. so you when you buy a new gun you can just slap those on. I am a supporter of the philisophy: its not the gun, its the man. So i support silentbob's mission to eliminate High Enders with his crappy spyder. But it is really worth wasting hundreds of dollars just to say "Haha, i killed you."
