Well.........

By the looks of your sig I'm guessing you don't have a BKO. So this probably won't do you much good, but it's all I have to offer. I believe the earlier BKO's had the clear color o-rings installed in the reg & LPR when they left the factory. The newer ones have an "upgraded" black colored o-ring. Correct me if I'm wrong Greg (or Steve) but other than those internal tweeks the only other thing was the "Hand Filed" reg adjustment screw.

*LOL*.......

I've got an early one & a newer one...... both shoot aprox.14bps
I've also taken apart one of the BKO's and did NOT see a serial # anywhere. The only place I did not look was between the grip frame & tray section. My guess is there is no serial #......... another BKO myth
Hey brodude there's an old saying that goes.........
Don't believe anything you hear & only 1/2 of what you see.

i always could be wrong. wuts weird tho, is that u say there is no serial #. thats really weird, cuz all guns should have a serial number, or marker number of some sort. imnot sayi they have to, but serial numbers r an easy way for te company to identify the gun. my prihana had one,my mag did, and so does my imp. its weird that hey didnt put serial numbers on them. just makes it harder for icd! Have u checked the board, or chip? maybe there. i dunno.

Exclamation Chip & board.......?

Um, brodude......... chips, boards, switches, resistors, diodes, etc are usually all tagged with the electronic manufacturers part i.d. number. I'm originally from the san jose/ santa clara area (a.k.a. Silicon Valley) and have worked for several electronic companies so I'm 100% possitive about the # on the electronic parts.
However, I'm not sure I understand your statement that says not having a serial # makes it harder for ICD.......? In what way? The BKO is only about 8-10 months old so it's pretty easy to guess what year it was maunufactured. Which brings me to my suggestion....... "IF" ICD was to stamp/# the BKO the year (ie; '03 for next year) would be more than enough. As a long time Cocker owner I'd say that serial #'s do little more than I.D. the year of the marker. Yes, you could also be anal and use it to track it from seller to new owner but who cares. And if you need a # for theft prevention just engrave your ss# on it. Seriously, knowing the year it was manufactured is all you need!

BKOs

The first batch of BKO didn't have serial numbers and had a stock ball detent. The second batch has serial numbers and has the new oring style ball detents. Both batches have all the same parts. Some of the very first BKOs only shot 10 bps . But we changed that early on in the first batch. That is how you tell them apart. Hope that helped!

2nd generations

There is no such thing as a second generation BKO. As Fast as BKO are selling I don't think you would get a 10 bps chip. We didn't put that many out there.

I know this ia a little off the subject but, could I put a 4-way in my BKO instead of the 2-way. What kind of refund would I get becuase my 2-way blew up the first day I played w/ it?

Exclamation HEY nic_05 & pbFreak

You just posted right after gregicd who actually IS a tech at INDIAN CREEK DESIGNS, you know.... the people that manufacture the BKO!?
You should have just PM'd him instead of posting as it might have saved you some time. But since I'm here I'll help you out.......
No, you can't replace the 2-way noid with a 4-way without doing some major mods.
And why do you want a refund? Have them (ICD) replace the noid with a new one...... UNLESS you did something silly to cause the problem. If the latter is the case sounds like you'll need to purchase one from ICD.

And pbFreak, your DIPS don't do anything because the stock BKO chip is a SEMI-ONLY CHIP!! Now if you were to replace the chip with something like a Chaos.........

BKO

Good advising EvilFudd.

The solenoids just don't blow up. Are you sure the solenoid is bad. Send your marker to ICD if the solenoid is bad we will fix it. If it is a product default we will fix it for free if it isn't you will have to pay for it.
You can't put a B2K2 solenoiod on a BKO. The chips are set at Semi only (15bps) If you put a Choas chip in you could shoot faster but the spring return of the BKO would turn your marker into a ball breaking fool. The serial numbers are on the side of the marker. I hope I answered your questions.

Greg
