How to: Disasembling and cleaning your marker.
This is just a basic picture guide for those of you whom may have just gotten your Impulse.
Note: You don't have to have a Nasty like me to follow these directions.
Tools/materials you will need are:
Allen Wrench Set
Dow33 Corning Lube
Towels / Paper Towels
Your Impulse
Step 1: Gather all your materials as pictured below.
Step 2: Remove all components (barrel, tank, hopper) for easier cleaning if you prefer.
Your setup should now look like this -
Step 3: Remove the pull pin from the top of your marker by pulling it directly straight up, and place it aside.
Step 4: Slide out the bolt from the back of the marker, and place it aside.

Step 5: The top chamber should now be empty. Get your allen wrenches and find the 3/16 wrench to insert in the hammer cap (in my case, the silver one pictured here)
Once doing so, unscrew the hammer cap, and pull out the assembly, as pictured below.
Place it aside.
Step 6: Get your bolt, pull pin, hammer assembly, and Dow33. Wipe clean the bolt, pull pin, and hammer assembly, and lightly relube the bolt and ram area with a thin layer of Dow33. Lubing the shaft and hammer is not necesary. The areas to be lubed are underlined.
Step 7: Stick the hammer assembly back into the marker, same way you took it off, and screw it tight with your allen wrench. Stick your bolt in the back of the marker, same way you took it out. Make sure the larger hole is facing down, as pictured. Reinsert the pull pin, and make sure it can slide forwards and backwards in the whole open area at the top of the marker. If it can't slide across all the way, remove it, and reinsert until you get it done correctly.

Very Very nice. No question about if it should be added to the stickey or not.
I know this would have helped me a TON when i first got my imp.
Also, your gun would look so pimp if it just had a Black Halo. (or even a black egg)

Can u add to that 3/16 is the size of the allen wrench to get the hammer assembly out cause sometimes people are too lazy to figure it out.

Yes I will, thanks about that, I just wasn't sure if all were the same, because I remember seeing a hammer cap that looked different once, I believe it was an Evil cap.

One thing you are showing in one of the pictures is to lube the derlin bolt with dow33. Derlin is a self lubricating material and does not need any lube.
By the way how do you like that Evil LPR respirator? I like how you have the pressure gage mounted on the rear of the marker for respirator adjustment.

Well the bolt can be lubed, but doesn't need to be, I usually put a very light coat, less than what is shown. The Evil Resp is very nice, looks good to, and ya I have that gauge there to make sure I got my psi set well.

Thanx Hockey man
I could really use that since I'm getting a nasty soon. On the left side of your gun it says new designz, is that like a custom painter for Impys???

New designz is what makes the best internals for impys. And that is a sticker on his gun.

It reads the LPR pressure, and yes it's 0-300.
