Official Upgrades Thread

First things first...

Barrel
its the first and formost thing you should upgrade...
the barrel is going to probably make the biggest difference in performance of all the upgrades...
length doesn't really affect things because the paintball is done accelerating after 6-8 inches or so... no a longer barrel will not make you more accurate...what it will do is help you aim...longer barrels will also slow down a paintball...it doesn't affect much...but it does slow it down a tiny bit...and to some people that counts...now all of these barrels there will preform about the same...for what they sell them for, they are wonderful barrels...

Hopper
if your shotting faster than 3bps or firing in bursts for more than a second or so... your going to need a fancy electronic hopper with a motor in it... or else your going to be chopping paint... which makes accuracy go WAY down...
  • 12volt Revolution...$50...PBR rating 8.4/10...feeds at a reliable 13bps... not force fed
  • eVolution 2...$70...PBR rating 9.4/10...feeds 17bps...is force fed
  • Ricochet AK & 2K...$55/$70...PBR rating 9.6-8.7/10 feeds 12bps...spins everytime you fire...
  • Halo...$110...PBR rating 9.7/10 22bps feed rate... you don't need it for a tippmann

The Vertical Adapter and Regulator
notice i didn't say x-chamber...because a regulator is just a little bit more... and does the job 20 times better... most expansion chambers run about $20-35... and you can get a cheap regulator for about $50...
Trigger
will increase your ability to get a higher rate of fire...or so it seems... it just seems to make it a little easier...but it's worth it...
Bolt
just stick with the stock... the hyperstar bolt will do NOTHING for you...

Rear Velocity Adjuster
Allows for simple quick velocity adjustment...that means no more tools...and it looks kinda cool...
  • RVA...$15...PBR rating 9.2/10...its that simple

Cocking Accessories
  • Full Bore Shadow...$50...PBR rating 9.3/10... takes that knob off the side and puts it in the back... no moving knob while you fire... it also acts as a RVA
  • Rocket Cock...$17...PBR rating 8.4/10 covers your cocking slot...and also has no moving part when you fire...

High Pressure Air (Nitro, Compressed Air)

check the Air Systems forum for all the information on HPA...
prices for a nice HPA tank runs about $100-300

Reactive Trigger and E-bolt and Low Pressure Kit
  • RT...$100...PBR rating 8.9/10...resets your trigger when you pull the trigger...allowing for much faster rates of fire....
  • E-bolt...$250...PBR rating 8.3/10... completely replaces the internals of your gun...turning into a true electo-pneumatic marker...meaning insane rates of fire...hair trigger pull...less kick...
  • LP Kit...$120...PBR rating 9.0/10... lowers the opperating pressure of the gun from 800psi to 300psi... incresses efficiancy, reduces kick, and is much quieter...

Drop Forward
shortens up the marker...making it more manuverable... i.e. "quicker"
  • Drops Galor...$20-50... there's a million of the little buggers...pick one...
