i've come out of games and my hair turned several flourescent colors, i dont get it, all the sudden, i got bight pink, green, blue hair. i recommend a beanie or a hat of some kind, i use a cowboy type hat(my "mexican working hat"), or a beanie, both work fine. if you wanna be funny, wear a santa cap!

this may sound kinda dumb but it works really well, get one of those like army hats you know the ones that look kinda like baseball hats but with a flimsier bill. I have one from when i bought my camo (it was a full outfit even with hat). the hat even has a lot of padding on the top of the head it's really cool

Go to your local store that sells construction-industrial clothing (Carhart jeans. Carolina boots) and get a welder's cap. These hats have a short-soft brim, are made to absorb sweat and are machine washable. I put it on backwards and when the strap of my proteus hits it, it folds right under. They really do take a lot of the impact off of a head shot.

A full back (or i'm using a flex fit right now) baseball cap backwards. The brim protects the back of your neck, and the full back (part of the hat) keeps paint from getting into your hair.
or, you can always get a sock hat...

They sell hats like normal baseball caps but with padding. Check It (paintball gateway) sells some, call them up since it isn't on their site.

I think I must just have a thick skull...
I usually don't wear a hat of any kind while playing, I found that I stay a lot cooler with no hat. I don't usually get shot in the head, when I do it hurts, but not too bad. The only place I don't like getting shot at all is in the soft part of the back of the neck, I'm trying to make some kind of collar that sticks up a bit more. I also keep my hair really short, so I don't have to worry about paint stains.

There is one downfall to wearing a backwards flex-fit hat. The button on top. I got bunkered and got hit in the top there and it hurt......BAD. I had a headache all day.

skullsock.com best head covers ever, they are like under armour for ur head, keeps ur head dry, and warm when its cold, and cool when its hot. Helps deflect balls too.
