Just thought I'd post my experiences with the macroline mod:In my testing, like the author suggests, doing the mod on both detents can be too strong and leads to slicing, which is harder to clean than a barrel break but not as hard as a true chop. One modded detent seems to work great, I only chopped one ball out fo 6000 at a tourney yesterday using one modded detent.
One thing though, I usually strip my bolt out the front since I have a some undue friction when I pull it out the back (Going to send it in to get fixed during the off-season). If you have the macroline mod do not do this. I tore the o-ring off the reinforced detent last night when I was cleaning my gun. Luckily, the gun came with an extra detent o-ring so I just dropped the piece of macroline into that one.
