Best mask for <$50

Hey everyone,

As you can tell, I'm a newbie. I've only played 3 times and I'm completely hooked.

I'm trying to find a good mask, but cost is pretty important too. I don't want to spend the money to get the Invision or the Proteus. I'm looking for a mask that's $50 or less, right now I'm leaning toward the VForce Armor and Shield. Can anyone tell me how good these 2 are or recommend anything better for the price?

What I'm looking for in no particular order:
Quality
Cost
Looks (what do you expect, I'm a neo)
Ability to change and clean lenses easily

Any site links would help a lot too.

at 888 paintball u can get a proteus...spend as much money on ur mask as u can! if u cant see u cant play, if u cant play u dont have fun!

id say get a JT spectra thermal. but if you want something thats very easy to change the lens then id recommend some kind of v-force.

I say get the v-force shield. It is a great mask and if you take care of it you wont need another. It is comfortable, has great field vision, won't fog, with a mirror lens it is the best looking mask IMO, and no other lens is as easy to change.

there is also the choice of the Dye invision. If u look at places (ppl tend not 2 like it) u can sumtimes find it for bout $60

Vforce is like $27.88 at 888paintball ! It is the field version (foam around eyes is more dense). I LOVE mine!

I noticed that a lot of places have both the rental/field version and a standard version of the shield. Is the padding around the eyes really the only difference? I'm assuming that since it is a filed/rental version the mask itself is more durable, but are the lenses the same quality as the standard version?

I would like to thank everyone for their input. If any of you care, I ended up getting the Shield. For those of you wondering the difference between the filed/rental version and the standard version, I asked VForce and this is what they told me.

There are 2 differences, aside from price, between the field Shield and the standard Shield.

1 - The field version doesn't have the "standard" padding around the eyes. VForce uses a special foam combination on their masks, but the rental versions of their masks use regular foam.

2 - The field version is not as rigid as their standard goggles.

All the other aspects are exactly the same. Especially the lens, which is the biggest hilight of all VForce goggles.

Thanks everyone for their help and I hope this thread helps out other noobs or anyone looking for a good, cheap mask.

all jt masks are comfy..

vforce is best mask but the comfort sucks unless you get a morph

if you dont mind hard padding.. get a rental over a standard.. the only real diff is the strap
