Read that review through the link on PBN, very nice stuff. How would you compare it to some of the other electro-scenario markers like the TM7 or BT15?

Packrat, if you're running remote you could use a female Stab, or maybe a direct. It'd probably still be a good idea to do that, despite this thing's purported acceptance of CO2. I'm all but certain there's a way to set that up.

Tom Kaye was all about growing the sport, he may have allowed Tippmann access to his Patents for little or no cost. Sort of the way companies used to do it before the SP shenanigans.

The electro to mechanical conversion is a bit more common than people think. The original Matrix was designed as a mechanical marker, I believe that there may even be a couple examples floating around. Then, the E-Mag and X-Mag both had the capability of switching back and forth on the fly. Hell, there's even a mechanical Ion or two being cobbled together. It's been done before, but never in a platform that really took hold of the market.

I'm not 100% on this, but the price point floating around PBN was $400, same as a TM7 and cheaper than a BT15, and my first impression is that this is likely a better marker. C'mon Tippmann put that puppy in a light aluminum body soes I can play some X-ball with it!

In case any of you would like an up close look at the Phenom, TSSOC will be at Barney's Heartbreak Ridge game this weekend in Plattekill, NY. Stop by and say hi.

From what I can tell the youtube videos show the gun shooting very consistently. I would be happy to own a Tippy with little to no kick. I mean shooting my cAnon-5 is great and everything but I could do without the kick.

I also love the fact I wouldn't have to worry about a battery dying on my in the woods. I understand this isn't a new technology but dying batteries is one thing that had me stray from electros in the past.

As nice as this marker seems I just don't know how comfortable it would be to hold. Every time I see the clip in pictures it just looks way to wide. I guess I will have to see how it is in person at a local shop.

Yes, it does. In Tequila Sunrise anno....

Can you imagine? If Tom Kaye was still an active member of development at AGD, we'd have some amazing stuff right now. After all the things he developed for the sport, and all the things he was so far ahead on that we're just now starting to catch up with... his departure was truly a loss.

Considering all of the things that Tippmann was ahead on in their prime as innovators. If these rumors about Tippmann and TK being together in R&D are true that could usher in a very exciting time; not just for the woodsball/scenario crowd, but for paintball in general.

Hopefully something more exciting than .50cal at least.
