Well you see is, it would be weird, because no matter wut reg i put on the 05 superstock it will be angled, and when sidewinders are angles they look too long.

In which case we might as well throw the AKALMP 2-Liter Plus, CCM inline and Palmer Fatty Stabilizer in to the ring, as these three had the shortest full re-charge times in the Air Soldier re-charge rate tests: -

However, why do you feel the need to change the Black Magic regulator before you have even tested it? Clean it out, give the piston a light polish, and then re-lube it, and once it has worn in, there is no reason why it shouldn't give good consistency. There are better regulators, true enough, but that doesn't mean it is bad.

With a consistent input pressure (Max-Flo), quality round paint (Advantage Marballizer) and a 0.686 Boomstick, I have had the majority of my shots go over the chronograph at +/-2 fps variation from the average when using a polished and re-lubed Black Magic reg. With a little bit of preparation, they can do the business.

Well its not that i want to change the balck magic regulattor, its one of the sexiest ones out there, i just want the max performance out of my marker (therefore getting new ram, barrel, reg, etc..) and well i would jsut like to knwo ive seen some very nice looking regs these are the ones im looking into.
1.torpedo 2.detonator 3.cp grip. 4.shockteck in-line 5. all AIM regulators

Well you see, im kinda leaning towars the det. becuase it is one of the bets regulators in the wordld (after the 4000 shot break in) and well i just want a consistent nice looking reg. so if there is a reg. out of those ones^ that you think is consistent, it would be great. Thanks.

For one thing, the CP and the Shocktech are the same regulator. They are both made by Custom Products - the Shocktech branded one is just milled differently and distributed by Shocktech as being their "own". The Shocktech can go to a slightly higher pressure than the standard CP reg (slightly different piston), but both will adjust to a higher pressure than you'll need on a Superstock. Out of those two, pick whichever one you prefer the look of.

I would take the Torpedo over the AIM regulators, which are basically copies of the Torpedo anyway (most AIM parts, other than their bodies, are copies of other companies products , but milled differently).

If you prefer the look of the Shocktech over the CP, yes. CP/Shocktech, same thing.

However, CPs own version of the reg comes in a range of colours as standard, and is available in four different lengths. The Shocktech only comes in one length, and while they make them in different colors to use on their markers, over the counter, you normally just get black or chrome. Basically, the CP version gives you more options. Something to consider.

In the chart above (Uziels post) when the detonator is #4 does that mean its the fourth best?? If not, which one has the best performance out of the detonator, the cp reg, and the torpedo? (Im guessing the detonator)

CP wasn't tested.

Neither the Bob Long Torpedo or The Evil Detonator have fully recharged within the time frame that the graph shows. Only the 2-Liter, CCM inline and Fatty Stabilizer fully re-charge in that time period.

However, it is easily seen that the Evil Detonator has a faster *initial* re-charge rate than the Torpedo, so it recovers *most* of its pressure before the Torpedo does.

The numbers do not refer to the ratings, or the "mystery inline" (2-Liter) would be #1.

Of the two, the 2-Liter is the better regulator. However, the CCM and Fatty Stabilizer beat the Detonator as well, not just the 2-Liter (but the 2-Liter was far better than either of those, fully re-charging in a third of the time).
