Proto EL or Vantage?

Whats a nicer mask, the Proto EL or Vantage? The proto costs about 20 bucks more canadian so if their pretty much the same should i just go with the vantage, and use the 20 bucks to buy paint

Are you sure your not talking about the Proto FS? Because the EL is less than the Vantage usually.

I like the protos better, anything v-force makes hurts my nose bridge and temples. You don't have stupid lil unattached clips to lose on a proto like you do on some v-force products. The clips that hold the proto lens in are attached to the strap and if you loose that your just stupid and don't need to be playing anyways. The thermal lens (not standard on the el) are always better than any coating that can wear off. I was sold on the proto right after I tried one on in the proshop. That came from playing with a number of my buddy's masks and being a loyal JT fan for years. I got the FS model that comes with the thermal lens and has the flexy rubber bottom. When I got it there was only one version.

V-force does not make a thremal lens, only some anti fog gimmick they try to pass off. You can get thermals for the EL, the anti fog on them will last for a bit but they will fog if everything is right (or wrong as we look at it).

Neither have a thermal lens, but the V-Force has a coating that practically eliminates fogging. The Proto can be outfitted with a thermal lens (you'll need a new lens every now-and-then anyway). The EL single lens does a respectable job of anti-fog and would suffice until a thermal lens is purchased.

The big thing on this is whether or not the V-Force is the Pro Vantage version.

That one is the field which sucks it has no foam just some kid of rubbery stuff. BTW the thermo-curing on the vforce works twice in 80% humidity at least, and you replace your lense every 6 months anyways.

Unfortunately, that's the field version. That's why it was so cheap. Don't buy it.
