Evo 2 FTW...
pros: fastest hopper in it's price range, can be upgraded with z-board, nice looks
cons: off balance (imo), weak feedneck, hard to open w/ 1 hand (mod can be done to fix this (remove a spring))

Need something to keep up with my Bob Long Defiant 2.
Will an egg work? or should I go with a Vlocity or ReloaderB?

I'd go Reloader B. The VLocity is hideous and I don't really like teh whole whirring thing. Big fan of sound activiation, that's the thing for me.

If you can that fast, an egg feeds a bit higher than 15.9 BPS on a marker, so if you can outshoot that than yes.

Does the z-board really make a difference on the egg? Or do you just have to upgrade to a halo or reloader B?

It does make a difference, but nothing major - the Evlution 2Z will drop test to an impressive rate, but a true force feed loader will still feed faster when on a marker.

Cross the the 2K off the list - the 2KX is faster. Certainly the fastest loader that only requires one 9 volt battery. If battery costs are an issue, then that would make the 2KX a good choice.
If you can afford the Revolution and the 2KX, then chances are that you can also afford a Reloader, as they are normally cheaper than the other two. A lot of people prefer the sound activation of the Reloader for it's more immediate response, activating to feed another ball as soon as your marker fires.
Have a read of the loader reviews to get people's opinions on these loaders, and if you get the chance, try them out before you make a decision.

I would just like to point out that the Apache wasent even mentioned in the first few posts, let alone the list of hoppers. The apache is an outstanding little piece of equipment, and well deserves to be included.

Easy answer to that one - Teufelhunden, who wrote this article, was banned. As such, he hasn't been around to update this with some of the newer products that have come on to the market.

Finding the time is another matter.....
While you cannot add to the original posts yourself, you are more than welcome to write about the Apache in this thread, and it could be edited in to the original posts by myself if suitable.

I'll assume from your signature that you mean a stock Evlution 2 with Y-board and not an Evlution 3/2Z.
Viewloader claim a feed rate of 19bps for the Evlution 2 - a figure that most likely relates to drop testing, which in turn represents the peak feed rate when used on marker. The average feed rate on marker is likely to be lower. As a matter of fact, VL only used to rate the stock Evlution 2 at 17bps. As such, you would not be able to achieve a consistent 20bps with the Evlution 2. 15bps would be a more realistic constant feed rate on marker.
If you want to go beyond 15bps with reliability, and virtually no risk of chopping, I would recommend at least using a Z-board (or buying the Evlution 3 - same difference) or going with a full force feed loader instead (HALO B, Reloader B or VLocity for instance).

Unfortunately, the member who created this thread was banned. If you wish submit information regarding these loaders to be added, I am more than willing to edit any additions in to Teufelhunden's posts.

Is there such a beast as a hopper that only holds a few balls so you don't have this massive contraption on top of the unit? ever see an mp5 on stargate (top load magazine) something like that that will hold say 20 balls ? I don't mind reloading often :-) I am a total newb and have not even gone to a field yet but I do know that MY kind of paintball will be the long thought out big field strategy type stuff (I like thinking) so being able to fire off 100 balls won't be as critical to me and I can just stick one on if I need to fire 100+ balls :-)
does such a thing even exist ?
